Upon arrival: Knock, door opens, I get a "oh" as if it's a burden I showed up on time. I should have 180'd right then.
In the room: freezing cold, find the thermostat set to 68 and it's like a hurricane in there so I turn it to 70 and the hurricane stops
get on the table: there's a face cradle but its covered with the sheet so no it's suffocate central. great. I ask for a towel when she gets in the room so I can breathe. Even with all the blankets on me I'm basically already shivering. As she gets to the massage I notice that she's using the sit down style...rolling around to do the massage. I'm guessing this is why the room is so cold: to keep her comfortable and not overheat. At some point she notices the hurricane is off and turns it down two beeps, back to 68. I ask if she has a table heater or heated blanket as I'm really cold and was told no. Requests are a heavy burden. I'm asking too much and she's annoyed.
Lotion. can we seriously get a PSA out that lotion is horrible for massaging? how can people think this is good? This adds to the coolness of the skin. great.
Hot, wet towel. feels good for 20 seconds then evaporation kicks in and I'm basically hypothermic at this point as the towel is now cold and she's using it to massage over. I ask if she can go no towel or dry towel as I'm cold and am told "this is how I do it" and "ill warm you up with some hot stones". didn't ask for that either and I now realize I'm going to die on this table.

you might be thinking, well maybe the massage was good. It wasn't a massage, guys. it was some kneading over the cold wet towel and poking into my ribs to where I recoiled in pain a few times. It hurt as this was evidently a 10 year old hand towel that's been washed every day. maybe it was a burlap sack? not sure, too cold to care. Next to no massage strokes that I'm used to. Draping was very conservative with the diaper drape.....my glutes must be visually offensive. 2 elbow pokes into each of them and they're "loosened up".
I should have ended it and left, but at least you guys know now. I think I feared she'd get mad and eat me to be honest...had me cooled down to where I couldn't run or defend myself.
