question on seaweed blend

I have purchased a sea salt mix with seaweed by the celtic herbal. I have tried for ages to figure out what the essential oil is and wondered if anyone else uses it or knows what it is? or if there is anything alternative, it has a really pure scent to it. Ive tried supermarkets smelling sea salts,etc to try to know what it is but nothing seems to smell like it.

Thanks I will take a look.the smeel is very light,Its almost musk/vanilla. I trie delizabeth arden seagrass but it wasnt like it.

They should list all the ingredients and that includes the essential oils, herbs - in fact everything in it. It's a legal requirement. Take a look at the packaging and see whats on it.

I have checked the packaging but it just says seaweed bath salts. It doesnt say the ingredients. I have contacted them to ask why there is no ingredient list.

I got in contact and they said "We just use calendula,seaweed and perfume."

perfume? it said essential oil blend and organic. surprised at that but it does smell nice.

Theyre being very cagey and are not sticking to the EEC directive (Article 28 EC – Directive 76/768/EEC) They should list everything in it including perfume. Can I just ask what the sea salt mixture is for? If its not to be used cosmetically i.e. bath, scrub etc it may be outside of the above ruling. Just noticed you mentioned bath salts. Well in my mind they are legally obliged to let you and everyone else know what the essential oils are (they don't have to tell you the amounts used though).

Hi Binah, they are bath salts. I bought them when I was in Wales as I thought they were traditionally made with essential oils and made the old way. I was going to purchase the seaweed soap but I have decided not to as, there is no info on what it contains either.
I would like to try something traditional, I preffer the personal touch because know that their is a lot of love and time poured into them.
