Here is something rare: this centrally located massage place on Centre Street North placed among a congested area of choices. It's a rarity to find a place that advertised honestly with the actual person really at the establishment and perform a very good massage with a fantastic price. I got exactly those at Health Best Massage on Centre Street.

The price for the deep tissue is $70+tax, I felt relief as she was able to use very good pressure on my back and shoulders. It's a good, full body massage that is partially draped if you wish. My legs, neck, and head, including face were also not ignored either. Very rare these days to be able to have a masseur cover all the areas in an hour. When I am back in town, I definitely would revisit because my body feels so much better after this. Yes, it's really her in the ad.

but the lady there in her 40s is not that good and quite rushed and agravated if you
try to give any imput about pressure, etc.

Hey hey hey, finally activity in this Calgary board. Was feeling like I can shoot a Canon out in a room and it would not hit anyone. Hello to you, happy new year. First activity in the new year here. So anyways yes, to answer your questions, I went to numerous places in Calgary for massage when I am down there for work. It's awesome because it's my after work activities and many places to choose from, convenient hours of operation too. I have been to mediocre ones, good ones, best ones, and really bad ones. The one I posted about was surprisingly good because she was able to do a complete massage as I stated. Do you like hard massages or relaxation? YMMV and opinions of what a good massage to a person is subjective.
Remember, this is a forum and opinions are here. Just like an asshole, everyone got one. Same for opinions. Where did you get your massages usually? It's alright dec2323, the very few posts you made of course do not agree or are constructive like mine. I know you are angry that they do not reflect your views. It's ok, you are still entitled to posts here, just like me and everyone else. I forgive you. I've read many of welldunn's posts on the Edmonton forum. I value his input, and like he said - everyone has an opinion. I am sure everyone experienced someone telling you about a restaurant that they liked - that you think is shit. Doesn't make them wrong, you just may have differing tastes. However if enough people share the opinion that the place is terrible, than yeah different story. Regardless, welldunn deserves a little respect (as does everyone fighting the common goal on this site). Cheers!

The Healthy Best operators have had several locations for past couple of years, the dingy 1607B one, another on 16th av NW across from North Hill shopping and the house on Centre st near 64av north. Personnel keep changing. Now the 1607B location is being managed by a therapist who used to have her own private place on 11av SW in downtown Calgary. To be honest, all this info means nothing as all of these businesses are more or less the same, I drop in once in a while but rarely check in again for another 6 months as there is nothing memorable massage wise. As to who actually owns these businesses, there are too many layers of managers and pretend owners to know the truth.

There are another half a dozen or more shops that are managed by the famous...or shall we say infamous Sandy ... the ads are so far from the truth that I practically avoid all of these Asian places that use the same BS stuff ...newly opened (like 10 yrs ago),...new girl just arrived (yup, just got off the Greyhound bus) ....have shower (ever thought about cleaning the frigging place?) .... yards yada yada. I usually go for a massage twice a week, but seek out independents who actually care about their clients' experience. Suggest more people do the same.
