The Oasis had their open day today - they open for business tonight at 6pm. They're at 61 Spine Street, Sumner Park.
I went along to check it out, giving myself sunstroke in the process - it didn't look THAT far Reviewom Darra train station on the map... anyway, I found it in an industrial estate, looking for all the world like a big tin shed. The signage is really small. Discrete, yes. Anyway.
Went in - wow. Nice reception area, it's huge. I would rapidly find that size is a big factor at this place. Reception seems to be designed for waiting and meeting in a more relaxed way than at certain other Brisbane brothels. The walls were a mellow sedate colour. A group of us got given a guided tour of the rooms. Again, BIG is the word. No gingerly tiptoeing around the edge of the bed to get undressed here! A little area with tables and chairs for the smpety check portion (nice touch), BIG pillows and nice sheets. Art on the walls both inside the bedrooms and in the corridors. All original art, some of it of quite a high standard. It's hard to get across, but it seems upmarket but comfortable. Couldn't really tell too much different about each room, despite the different names. We were shown the outside of the WL's gym - do other brothels have these in QLD???
Interesting group taking the tour incidentally - seemed like local residents, three or four young guys Reviewom a nearby industry still in their workclothes, and two older women who were having a great time chatting to me until I asked the tour guide a question that made it obvious that I was in fact interested in GASP! HAVING SEX IN THAT BUILDING AT SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE! But maybe I misinterpreted their response, hell for all I know 20 years ago they could have been the Louisas of that time!
Chatted to the tour guide, who was actually the manager (one of?) mpter the tour (she was a leetle quick to get us out the door... hope that's not a sign). Prices are 150 half hour, 200 for 45 and 240 hour, with extras (taking into account smpe sex practices of course) to be negotiated with the lady. 8am to midnight during the week then 24 hours on the weekend. She seemed very Reviewiendly and keen to impress. She had earlier told the group a great anecdote about going to buy pillows for the place and having the shopgirl sniff, "Have you seen how that new brothel actually has a parking space for disabled people out the Reviewont??" She enjoyed telling the shopgirl that actually she was working for that brothel and why the hell SHOULDN'T the disabled be able to come in? (there's a particular room designed for those with special needs BTW)
Overall it seems that they've thought of everything! Nice place, nice decor, huuuuge rooms -now all we need is to see how the stmpf are...
(and before anyone complains "Why didn't you wait till you had a session so you could review them" I am happy to do so even tonight if you stump up the money!)
