Sandalwood (thick ? or is that me ?)

I bought a bottle of sandalwood and was trying to use it in a burner but couldn't get any drops out. I thought it was the bottle so I transfered the lot into a spare bottle. Still no luck.

Is sandalwood oil particularly thick and viscous, making it hard to get out of a bottle ? Or have I got a bad batch ?

Sandalwood is a very thick oil and can get thicker with age, as does patchouli, although still OK to use.

It takes a lot of patience getting the drops out of the bottle (especially when you have a client waiting on the couch for their massage), but they will come eventually.

Did you not use this oil in your training?

Mmmmm such lovely oils but yes, what a pain to get out.

I have (most of the time) warm hands, so I envelop the bottle in my hand for a minute or so and it usually does the trick.

As I recall, when we used Benzoin, Sandalwood etc in college, the tutor suggested we warmed the bottle by standing in a small bowl of warm water.
