Shanghai Weekly Scouting Report

I spend first full week in Shanghai so try out "normal" scene since I tired hearing post only about Yu Ping and BBS. Goes something like this:

Monday: Zapatas on Hengshen Rd. 10-11pm happy hour. Free beer for men, vodka cocktails for women. All of sudden many people show up exactly at 10. Maybe 90% caucasian, 40% women. Chinese girl there look like working girl but not many. Meet friendly girls visiting from Norway, exchange numbers but they leave Norway soon so delete number later. I recommend for free beer, lively atmosphere, also if you tired of Asian girl and want to speak English to someone, maybe meet someone for dating.

Tuesday: 11pm: Start at Rendezvous, Xintiandi. Fun local crowd. Waitress cute Chinese girl-next-door type but not so friendly. Good filipino cover band. 2 girls singing, quite sexy. Professionals standing by bar, average to above-average looks, leave with 40+yrs caucasian men. 1am: Bar Rouge, 18 Bund. Fashionable scene, I recommend if you 25-40. Good looking professionals! Non-professional also pretty. I approached by girl look remind me of Japanese AV star Akira Watase. Speaks good English and cozy up to me, I cut to chase and ask how much to go back to my hotel. She ask 300usd, I bargain 200usd and she say yes right away. Should have asked for less! But I with friend who not find anyone, so I get her number and agree to meet later in week. 2am: Take friend to Glamour Bar, few block south on Bund. Not many people. Few pros by bar, not good looking. I soon leave. 2:30am Back to Zapata but closed. Girls waitresses across street wave to us to come into bar. I forget name of place because Saburo drunk by this time. I little worried since hear story about scam so careful. Pay as I go to avoid unexpected bill at end. We only guys there so maybe 10 waitress gather around flirt with us, all short and some cute, all very friendly. They get commission if you buy them drink, some kind of lemonade with a little beer so they don't get drunk. I ask one girl how much to go home but she say not that type, keep talking to her maybe I get freebie. So I want to leave and manager brings bill for extra 800rmb, I yell at him because I already pay, slam fist on table and leave. He not follow. Sun already up and time to go to work. You can try this place, could get lucky, but be a little careful.

Wed: Recover from Tuesday

Thurs: Make appointment with ISP from Bar Rouge for Saturday.

Friday: Quiet dinner with friends at Japanese restaurant.

Saturday: Meet Bar Rouge ISP in my hotel lobby. She shows up on time and dressed nice, looks pretty, not too obvious pro. Deep kiss as soon as get to room. Friendly, speak English very well, and shows me a good time. FS with CBJ. Pay up front. We talk afterward and I show her my work. Nice to finally communicate with service provider. She recommend Bar Rouge, Glamour Bar, Attica (all on Bund) for good place to go meet more like her. I rate face 8/10, body 6/10, personality 8/10, service 7/10 (8 if BBBJ). May decide to meet her again if nothing better shows up next week.
