to all those who asked who doesn't shower at hfh- i was simply using it as an example of an upperscale spa to prove that it CAN happen anywhere. I personally haven't experienced it there, or studio b for that matter but i was simply pointing out that by writing off one spa doesn't eliminate the problem. It was nice of ginger to reply, but what can she really do??? yell at the girls, fire them? Let's just end this post by saying that a clean session is a good one, on both ends.

Well it appears I'm in the minority here. I personally don't see a reason why one would be offended by implementing a "must" shower policy. But that includes the customer as well.

There are many businesses that require preventative steps to keep things clean. From washing of hands, or wearing hairnet, to condoms, or surgical gloves.

It's ridiculous to hear, that it's hurtful to MPA's or that they're grown up enough to know better...please. The real reason is that it cuts out perhaps a couple of sessions over the course of the day which means less money for the girl and the spa.

If one spa was to put it's foot down and enact this policy, perhaps others would follow suit. Patrons that care about hygene would begin to visit only spas that have this policy.

just some food for thought and maybe some insight into the other side of the coin, although its purely my perspective ..

I think the reason that "telling" the girls they "must" shower is insulting is because it's treating them like children. I don't think the environment and workings of an MP can be compared to other business's as Lewd suggests. I tend to look at it like the girls at SB /Lexa /SC are agents operating out of an agency - the MP. As agents they should know the value of hygiene in building a regular good client

Can't resist commenting on another aspect, something that won't happen to me but may to a busy MPA.

Let's do some math:

Say a popular MPA works an 8 hour shift and is booked back to back - that gives her anything from 8 - 12 clients (40 min/half-hour appointment). If she is to shower after every client b/c of strict policy, then she may be taking up to 12 showers in an 8 hour shift. Wouldn't it create dry skin problem for some?

Most hobbyists would not have to encounter this situation but a popular MPA might.

Factor in the tanning sessions and we're talking some serious drought. It also seems dry hair is fairly common among MPA's.

I've noticed while showering both with the MPA ( yes, most do shower ) and solo ( before and after ) that their soaps are very thick and may include moisturiser ( ? ) I find most MPAs' to have exceptionally smooth and supple skin though ...

my initial thread post...and those there after pretty much follow the same lines...

Let's put it this way...for the mpas that I did see...and was not all that pleased...I won't be seeing again...

and just for MY OWN peace of mind...I won't be going back to Studio B...

if everyone else is comfy with the mpas they see now...don't let me stop ya...to each his own...

who knows......I may head to Santa Clara...even Lexa...sometime in the future...

I say that showers should be a must for both clients and girls alike. I smell so many stinky bums and taste so much sweat... Also, these are the same men that whine when I don't let them perform DATY on me because I think it's too risky. So they want us to shower but they'll gladly eat out someone who may have been eaten out 10 times that day by some possibly nasty truckers with cold sores. Not to mention that yeast infections are a part of daily life in mp's and men can get them in thier throats. Yummy. Jeez, that's real clean...

SB has been a favourite of my for a longtime ever since their first apartment above the bed shop at the end of the mall. I accepted the single shower in these apartments, simply because of space, but I was really disappointed when they opened SC and still only provided one shower, when the proprietor(s) could've enhanced their facility and I understood that Lexa is the same, one shower.

I have to believe that the proprietor(s) for the love of $$$, doesn't have the interest or welfare of their clients and staff in mind. I would further suggest that putting in rules to mandate showers for staff and clients is simply blowing smoke up our collective asses, since they obviously have no interest in providing it for us and only see us as cattles more like cash cow...

I would suggest to the Proprietor(s) that they should simply put their money where their mouth is, install more showers instead of giving us lame excuses about treating the ladies like adults...
