There have been a lot of posts here that talk mpas about being concerned that you Le. I spent some time last year with a sp in London who had been charged in a raid in an mp. Her lawyer advised her to have everyone that she dealt with to repeat this phrase.

"I am not a police officer and I am in no way affiliated with any law enforcement agency".

It became quite humorous as I would repeated it to her, with my hand over my heart, each time I saw her (them actually- anyone going to London should pm me). I have used this phrase two times now and not only does it give the attendant the legal protection that she is looking for, but it has always, in my limited experience, put them instantly at ease. A very good thing!
I recommend that you memorize this phrase and use it liberally. If you are an MPA, just ask politely for this assurance.

i'm not a lawyer, or a cop... but as far as i know, that won't work in canada... the entrapment laws are different in canada than they are in america... just because you say that does not mean that you, or your lady friend are immune from anything...

I don't know if it protects anyone. I just know it has worked to put mpas at ease. Perhaps it's just that I don't look like a cop in the first place.

It was O'Grady in that episode. He lied to the SP and said he was a salesman from out of town. He even showed her the plane ticket.

Let me put this way: it may work with the MPA, but judges aren't MPA's.

No question about it!

Now if it is said under oath, you can use such a declaration to prove that the individual has previously lied under oath, but that is totally something else. That's you free lesson on the law for today...

And you would have to have someone at the MP to administer the oath... a Judge, lawyer, Notary, Court clerk, Sheriff, Justice of the Peace...

Now that might be something different: $40 for the room, $75 for the oath, $100 for the BJ.

Here is what you do.Ask about extras in the beginning.The cops cannot entrap,or take the girls hand and put it on your c*ck again the cops cannot do that.The case would get thrown out before the judge.Now that is not to say the place will not get raided if there is suspicision but this let the mpa know that you ain't the fuzz....I think...

Not that I would do this, BUT I've sometimes been tempted when asked "Are you a cop?" to tell the MPA "Yes I am but if you give me a free (fill in the blank) I might just forget we ever met." Of course, then they'd ask to see the badge, you'd think. I always laughed and offered to show my wallet, make at least some gesture to make them feel at ease. Heck I even told an MPA that if she's not comfortable, just give me my money back and I'll leave.

recent case law in ontario has allowed officers who have been given permission to work undercover to bust street workers to allow themselves to be touched "sexually" in order to not put their investigation in jeapardy. this does NOT give them license to go forward with the sex act, but to determine that a street worker is "communicating for the purpose of selling sexual services".

i would imagine that the same precedent would be used in the charging of mp's...

no matter what television or the guy at the bar tells us, there is no silver bullet for getting around the fuzz....
