Heads up:
Innocently enough, I started reading a novel called Sparrow Nights by local author and TV personality David Gilmour. What a thrill it was when the lead character developed a penchant for a local massage parlour several pages into the book. Gilmour uses a nom de guerre for the spa, but anyone who ever went to the now defunct (I believe) place in the office building at Spadina and Bathurst will recognize it. I am only halfway through it, but I can tell you that the book contains vivid descriptions of everyone's fav hobby. It might be worth a read. At the very least, give it a skim next time you are at a Chapters or Indigo. Gilmour, btw, has a habit of exploring stuff near and dear to the hearts of those who haunt this board. If memory serves, one of his earlier novels contained a passage in which the protagonist visits a TO strip club and has to jack off in the mensroom.
