aromababe,
there are 2 organisations that i'm considering, see what you think.
1. client base are the ones who's got physical disability and learning difficulties. they would like me to perform beauty as well as holistic treatments for the residents of that centre.
2. specialist in people who suffer from anxity, depression. this organisation is aim at helping people to build back their confidence and get back to work. i'll be performing aromatherapy treatments alongside thier programme to help these people to fight mental problems.
i personally think it's great to help people with physical disabilities with aromatherapy, as they are pretty serious ones they are quite isolated from this soceity and it can help them feel better. however, i met up with the co ordinator today, and she would only want me to do face and scalp massage. cos they have difficulties to be moved. also she mainly wants me to do manicure for the people, as quite alot of them suffer from epilepsy.
the one for people with depression sounds very good as well. though i have not got a chance to meet up with the manager, i was told on the emails that they would like me help these people to feel more positive through the treatments.
what do you think? do you think the one for physical disabilities would be too much to handle for new therapist like me?
please advice
