What are guidelines for introducing your children to your friends as a single parent?

I've been legally separated for years, but not divorced. I have a 10 year-old son and one weekend we were going to the beach and a female acquaintance called and asked what I was doing and I said "I have John, we're going to the beach". She said "Oh, that sounds like fun, I want to go", so I picked her up and we had a great time. Not wanting to keep anything from my ex, I told her what happened when I brought John back home, and she had a major problem with it. Was I wrong, and should I put my social life on hold when I have my son?

lol YES .what kind of silly as question is that? yes it should be on hold. id assume you dont have your son everyday so when u do cherish the time. and stop worrying about chasing pussy. This is the big thing tho. more than likely she doesn't want a women around her son because women think if another woman is around there son he will like her more than "mommy" dont act as if your surprised . so question...are u sayin you wouldn't mind you son hanging with his mom and some "fake dad"on a family play date? no it dosnt matter if thats what it was or not. thats what it seemed like.. but most importantly .FUCK WHAT PEOPLE SAY ..ASK YOUR SON HOW HE FEELS!! if he doesn't mind then its fine. besides your speaking in a defensive manner which indicates you know your wrong. by calling her a acquaintance you try to make it seem like its nothing and u guys barley talk but on the same note you put time with her over your son..
