What is the salary ranges of an equine physical therapist, equine massage

therapist, or an equine sports thrps i am very interested in becoming an equine physical therapist, equine massage therapist, or an equine sports therapist. but i was wondering what their starting salary was and how much you could possibly make... also what kind of education is needed. i've tried to look this information up, but its no good.

equine sports massage therapist makes about $37,170 a year (thats an average) but it is increasing over the next few years.

there is a high demand for a equine physical therapist and they make roughly40,000-60,000 a year.

When I was still on the racetrack the trainer I worked for used a massage therapist. She was great, I loved what she was able to do with her patients, she made a huge difference. I'm sure she told me she went to a 3 week course in MD or VA, can't remember which. I rubbed a gelding with a very long, weak back. Carol was kind enough to show me how to care for him by just doing his back every 3rd day unless she was coming to work on him before running. Up till that point Normy always trained with the pony because of being so back sore and within a month he was going out with an exercise rider to gallop in the morning. Carol was always in demand and I believe her price range was $100 - $125 for an hours worth of massage, at least that's what she charged on the track, I know she had alot of clients off the track also.
