When is the right time for the "where do you think it is going? chat.?

I have known this guy for over a year (we previously worked together) and get on really well. He left the company a little while ago and we have started seeing each other outside of work. Recently we have started getting closer and sleeping together. (Can I just add I am not one of these women that sleeps around). Its been a while since have allowed a man to pay me this kind of attention as the last "relationship" I was in was fairly rough, I was mentally abused, constantly having my confidence and self esteem crushed so for a long time have found it hard to let anyone close.

It started off as me seeing this as a kind of therapy, friends with benefits type situation. I was worried that because I had been on my own for so long that I was having fake feelings. He is so sweet and kind that i didn't want to hurt him if it turned out to be the case.

But now I think I am falling for him, how do I find out if he sees this turning into an actual relationship or if he sees it as only a friends with benefits? without freaking him out that I want a relationship if he doesn't or making him think I don't if he does?

I am so confused.

never --- if you dont where its going then its no use asking the question --- im saying that you should already know and not need to ask anything ---- how does he treat you??? ---- is he interested in seeing you outside the bedroom and if he wanted to he would be asking ---- what does it feel like he wants ---- if he is caring and considerate but asks for nothing more then i suggest there will be nothing more ---- if you want to keep the relationship going then do so as well as look for someone serious to date --- if you find someone then the FWB must stop --- best wishes
