While dogs are there

I just wondered if it was ok to burn oils whilst my dogs are around.

I have 2 dogs, one suffers from nervousness and the other just can't stop running around the garden

Dogs are a bit like babies, they don't take to Aromatherapy oils in any great strength. Have you tried some Lavender, maybe on some cotton wool on a radiator in the same room as the dogs? It should calm them and anyone else in the room too.

I don't mean I want to burn oils for them... I want to burn oils for me but I'm worried it might affect them.

I only have geranium and lavender at the moment....

Lol............. Do your dogs sleep in the same room as you? If not put the oils on cotton wool near to your bed. But as long as the oils aren't too near to them or used too strongly they should be OK. They will soon start to sneeze if they don't like it!

I used to burn oils all the time around my dogs, if they didn't like it they would leave the room but generally didn't. Always kept the burner somewhere they couldn't reach obviously. I used to put oils in my bath too and the dogs like to follow me in, never bothered them at all. They were Boxer dogs - their noses are even more sensitive than most I think.
