A sign outside a massage parlour in an elite Sydney suburb has left some residents furious.
The sign was recently placed in the window of La Massage Thai Remedial & Day Spa in Mosman in the city's exclusive Lower North Shore.
The sign read in large black letters: 'NON-SEXUAL'.
A local complained about the sign on a community Facebook page on Thursday.
She argued it was at eye-level with children who would therefore be able to read it.
However many Mosman residents argued having the sign was essential for the business, as it played a crucial role in safeguarding workers from unwelcome sexual advances.
It comes just months after a Cairns masseuse slammed 'rude' Aussie men who demanded a 'happy ending' and had forced her to place a sign on her wall.
Darunrat Chansopha, who owns Pha Thai Massage, says the increase in premises offering 'sexy massages' has made her job more dangerous.
She has been forced to hang a prominent sign in her waiting room that says: 'No happy endings - excellent massage only'.
In the massage room another sign repeats the message: 'Not sexual. No happy ending, just happy massage.'
Ms Chansopha only offers authentic therapeutic Thai massage services but still has to decline seedy requests for 'extras' every day.
Such callers are met with a polite but firm 'mai ow, krap' which means 'No thanks'.
