JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) -An extensive human trafficking investigation in southern Indiana led to the arrest of one person and the rescue of four victims.
According to the Jeffersonville Police Department, police received several tips about possible prostitution and human trafficking at Evaโs Massage, located at 1002 E. 10th Street.
Multiple search warrants were executed Monday morning on March 24 by Jeffersonville police and other agencies. Police said as a result of those raids, four victims were rescued from two businesses: Evaโs Massage in Jeffersonville and another location in New Albany.
Police also arrested a 62-year-old woman, Xing Song. Sheโs charged with promoting human sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, and corrupt business influence.
The four victims were given medical attention and support services while police continued their investigation.
