WOMEN 21+: What are you embarrassed or scared of exactly when chatted up by a

nice man? What are you thinking? SOME women go all quiet, shy and embarassed and want to run away when they are approached by a man directly (not beating about the bush) chatting them up, less so in bars cos they expect it but more so during the daytime.

Even if the approach is good, sober, polite, friendly with a smile and coming from a charming handsome well-mannered guy some women just wanna bolt and say, "Oh, errr thanks....I gotta go." very early soon after his opening compliment and introduction.

1) Why is this?
2) What are they thinking?
3) What are they embarrassed and scared of exactly?
4) Can anything be done to make her feel more at ease?

Approach a woman with a direct approach in the daytime and she loses all the power she'd have if you approahced her at night. Suddenly she aint so tough anymore; her shield is down and she's a lot less bitchy without the little testy remarks that try to get a reaction from you. But even at night if a guy goes direct on a woman sometimes they still go all shy....they go into "I'm being chatted up" mode which means going quiet and making the guy do all the work making the conversation unbalanced.

I usually think is he just talking to me cos he wants to get into my knickers or is he actually interested in having a conversation. And i suppose the more work you make him do then the more you know what he's really after. Generally though i'm a firendly person that would chat to most people (if i wasn't in a relationship), after all just cos someone has spoken to you it doesn't mean they are trying to chat you up. Not all women are as you're describing.

The simple answer is this. Women like to talk to a guy when we are ready (in life). If we don't want a boyfriend at the time, we brush men off (usually because of past mistreatment or conentrating on other things). When we do want to talk to a guy, we will be open for a conversation. If we feel a vibe that you're a good dude, we'll look forward to talking to you some more. Hope that helps.
