xenosaga Invincibility chat?

i was looking up on how you get the giant robot head (still don't know how) but while i was looking i came across a chat code that makes you invincible at lest its supposed to but every time i try i cant get it to work here what it says To get invincibility go to the main menu and hold down L1+L2+R1+R2 and then press x , triangle, o, square, and right.for one dose it mean the menu where you pick new game or load save data or the menu in game where you pick items and stuff like that ti tried both but none work how do you know you put the code in right plz help

main menu before you even touch anything or after you press start if it tells you to and it says options and start game and all that crap do it there.
