Thanks for the suana trip review FABSHA and Chuckie - Now i'm having seconds thoughts about going to the new yuping. I guess just one trip report of the new yuping is not good enough but thank goodness Fabsha and Chuckie tried it out before i did...saves me alot of time and frustration.

Hey guys, I know singing the praises of Yu Ping is a bit redundant – you can see for yourself in the thread that this place rocks.

I have to thank the posters for giving the low down on this place. Since I don’t speak Mandarin, knowing what to expect made a big difference ( the whole get naked, shower, decline the boy massage, get a beer, then pick out your honey experience). So, since I haven’t posted before, I thought I’d give a little back.

First of all, the address is a few pages back, but I’ll give it again so you don’t have to look – 448 Zunyi Rd. Out west from the city center. Near the intersection of Zhongshan West Rd (the big circular elevated highway) and Tianshan Rd.

I went on Sunday at 230 just after it opened. Good thing, I guess, there wasn’t anyone else in there but me. I put my clothes in the locker – they lock it and give you a bracelet so you don’t have to worry about your stuff. Showered in front of the dudes. Declined the back massage from one of them. Led into another room to get a robe, then into the big lounge. Asked for a beer, and just as I got it, was brought to the fish tank to pick out the honeys. Arfmeister you're the man! I'll buy you a case of Tingha when i'm in Bangkok This place is pretty easy to find, it's very close to the Huangpi Nan Lu Metro station as mentioned by Arfmeister and also it's nearby the Stadium and HuaiHai Park...hope this helps for other mongers.

the one in 77 SongShan (嵩山路77号)is called 皇宫会所KING'CORNER. they may have the same owner, but 皇宫会所 is famouse in local guys.

Wake up Shanghai Team!!! Yuping is back BUT ... here are the changes....First, I have been off the air for months as I cannot access theis site from China but I happen to be in Bangkok (that is another story) at present. Since it aint Yu Ping and it aint in English I call these the New Ping! Can ya dig it?

So Yuping closed but has re-opened in 2 locations. One is near the old one. It is furhter out but because in it close to the ring road versus the opld neighboorhood, it just might be easier to get to. I have their card and it is all in Chinese and Japanese but it is clearly off Zhong Shan Xi Lu way on the west side of Shanghai (this road is the Inner Ring Road and is called Zhong Shan East, South etc as it goes around town, this location is out near HongQiao airport and is the Xi, or West part of it.) Someday i will maybe scan the card and post it here. Facilities are good, but the old one had mirrors on both side walls - this one had only one wall covered. All else quite delightful and this place has the old beds from Yuping with the curved red-rope-holding bars attached to the bed.

The new location is gonna blow everyone's mind ---- it is right in the center of Shanghai and easy for most downtown visitors, It is on SongShan Lu just south of HuaiHai Zhong Lu. Just a half a block walk off HuaiHai. This is quite close to the HuangPi Lu metro stop. (I am making this way too easy for you all, eh?) The address - 77 SongShan - is clearly on the pillars on the alley entrance and the place is relatively unmarked but is one of the first doorways on your right as you enter the 'lane' . Open from 1 pm til 3 in the morning according to the Chinese business card, and all new beds with ceiling mounted red-rope bars and mirrors left and right, thank you very much.

Everybody got it? OKOK So you all owe me big time for this .... beers please delivered to my home!!

When are you going to Shanghai? If you don't speak any Mandarin then it's pretty hard not to get scamed by the locals and even the "in-house" services will scam you or overcharge you. My recommendation is head over to Yu Ping hotel. Read the threads on "street scams" and yu ping massage. China is a very corrupt and scandalous country, watch your ass.
