Toronto Police have just issued an information piece that they will no longer respond to burglary calls. They say that since 97% of burglary calls don't need police presence, they will ignore the 3% that do need police presence until you prove to them that the burglary alarm is a real alarm.

That ought to work out in the favour of home invaders and other criminals. The police won't come until it is fucking SUPER OBVIOUS that you are actually burglarizing a person or property. By then, the response will be too late and the victim will suffer.

Ironic thing is that police already take a SUPER LONG TIME to curently respond to alarms anyways. The police will still have time to do seatbelt enforcement and laser radar at the bottom of a hill, so don't worry folks, they have that covered.
