A better idea (Tag marketing film)

Hi everyone.

I wrote a post some time ago titled I had an idea. Basically in a nutshell it involved making a short film (massage in the ballet) as inexpensively as possible about what I do and how I do it, turning it into a dvd and giving it away as a promo and perhaps a visual addition to my CV. Well I did that and spent more than I would have liked. I sent them out and gave them away and yes I did have a favourable response but nothing to write home about. But this time...

I made a shorter film, more to the point of what i do and who I am. It shows my place of business, my associations etc I think very effectively.

I made it for only 300 bucks and instead of turning it into a DVD (more cost) I add it to the bottom of each business e mail for free and I send out as a eforum.xxx film (link).

That way I can simply point the person towards the link at the bottom of the page to visually demonstrate that which I am trying to say more effectively.

I watched both of your videos. I loved the ballet one and connected with it as I watched you massage those dancers. Very beautiful!

I didn't quite connect as much to the Massage in the Ring. Maybe it's becuause I am girl and not into boxing. I think I was wanting to see more massage in that one. I decided to watch it one more time and became intrigued with some of the other things that went on....like that contraption that was spinning the guy around...what does that do? Also I noticed Mr. Erik Dalton himself posted a comment too...very cool.

That spinning contraption (space curl) could be the most intensive core body workout on the planet??? Maybe, can't say for sure. It enhances proprioception (Our bodies relation to space) and of course builds the mid section. Originally designed by N.A.S.A for training jet pilots and now at our place training fighters of a different variety. One is covered by metal and the other by skin.

Massage in the ballet was too long I thought. Nice though.

If others could also find similar success with this method I'd be very happy to help. I think it could be a very nice addition to someone's CV. Imagine sending an e mail to a client or future employer and showing rather than telling. More credible maybe? More effective perhaps? might put someone on the short list or well out in front for the job.

The videos were fun to watch, but during the MMA vid I kept wondering where massage would come into it. The first few times you appeared, I had no idea it was you... figured it out later, though. Though the training fooeforum.xxxe was interesting to watch, it would have been nice to see more of the bodywork you do with the fighters.

The ballet piece was better, though a bit long. It was clear who you were, and bodywork dominated throughout.

I will be editing again in June with more therapy involved. Not much though because as it is a eforum.xxx film and I want it really short.

Massage is only a small part of what we do to prep fighters. Mostly it is used after the hard training days to assist the repair process so that the body is more able to go hard again the following day if required.

The tech' we use a lot is the muscle spindle prep to tone the body, not only before an event but before each hard training session. This is another small detail that makes all the difference.

Erik Dalton was the man who developed this particular tech' that I use and we have found from our tests so far that when the spindle tech' is used just before show time the fighters have been at least 10% better prepped than they ever have been before.

The public won't notice, because they don't know anything technical, and it probably feels good. But damage can be done to the one-way valves in the veins. A definite no-no.

I respectfully disagree.

It is a short clip and as you can imagine it is impossible to show all. I also can see in hindsight many things I would redo but I can't. It's done.

Concerning the massage itself I actually flow both ways, and am more concerned with following the natural courses of the muscles than a swedish relaxation approach especially dealing with specific muscle stress. For example, If I am massaging the iliotibias I'll flow downward and upwards as to me, the natural course of the grain so to speak flows both ways. I flow outwards as I massage the gluteas maximus and same the quads.

Another example being the sacrum area. Although I admit these techniques shown were a bit fluffy and many I wouldn't practically use anyway.

I personally think your comments apply when performing a full body. Perhaps the person has a heart condition, one too many tv dinners maybe? But I don't think an athlete should be concerned about a downward stroke when his quad muscle feels like a twisted ball of string.
