I have been looking for an alternative eatery to BG in Kamala to use as a pitstop on the way back after a beach day at Surin, so yes please Dodger or anyone else a more indepth review particularly the Dory and chips would be appreciated.

Why is it that I'm a costumer there and alot of my friends are too and we all know why Da got Firerd !! Please Peter you and your friends stay out of the Kamala Aussie Bar as thats a MANS bar NOT A CRY BABY'S BAR !! There's bars more to your liking like any shit hole that you can grab the girls any way you like !! It sounds like thats what you and your friends like !! PEACE AND LOVE CHUMP !!

The burger is homemade and was tasty, not in my first tasting wow!! but might have been deciding about the beetroot taste as never had that before, but nice and better than most places as homemade not factory squished.

The fish and chips I've yet to try, looked a good sized portion, came with chips and coleslaw. Also Soups they now do good melon slushies for Alec.

Not yet going to challenge the Beer Garden as their menu is more extensive and also their daily specials are exceptionally good value, but still early doors and this menu will increase. Aussie meat pie, plus sausage roll, with mash and gravy looked good value at 180 baht and looked a tummy filler.

Noticed less girls working there now and know of at least two that has left and are now back working their old bars, of course when asked nothing to do with no bf's!!! but cos they missed working with their friends. Also cos they now open at nine in the morning, staff have been split into two shifts, not sure that will work economically long time as in my opinion not enough profit in brekky's to cover all the wages etc, especially with the local brekky market competition of 3 bakeries all offering good options and countless other restaurants open for morning waking up grub.

I do like this bar, like the owners and its taking on its own character now, not somewhere I'd say you must visit but a nice option for us Kamalians to sit back and feel a bit like a home bar, yep I know I'm not from Australia but it is starting to have a similar feeling to me as I used to get in my local back home?? not everyones cup of tea but I'm liking it, still not sure about drinking that Kingfisher Strong!!! well might just have one to testerise it a bit!!!

I like those ribs as well I am the same not often I get past them. The schnitzels are excellent as well.

i have seen the exact same results with bg's and non bg's
all of them were still looking for someone to take care in the long run
and i have seen non-bg's be as ruthless as bg's

The Aussie bar Cinderella Saga.......

Prince charming (Pinot) walks into the Aussie bar Kamala with a glass slipper that just so happens to fit K. Dar (Cinderella). Now the 2 ugly sisters behind the till (no introductions needed.....) get really jealous about this because they believe they should get all the attention in the bar. Outraged they decide to sack poor Cinderella out of jealousy even though they are aware she is the best worker in the bar.....

Question is who will be the next Prince Charming and the unfortunate Cinderella???

Moral of the story....If you want your bar fcuking up just employ family !!! :whistle:

First impressions count for me and I still left after my second or third visit with a 'just another bar' attitude. I must admit to not knowing or seeing any of the girls on duty anywhere else in Kamalalala.

Danny was in there one night and didn't come across to say hello or anything and you know my attitude on that. Maybe he thought I'd kick off again or something! 5555555

I'll give it another go next time through but it won't be my first port of call.

Yes, excellent food in there. And convenient as it is practically just around the corner for me. Haven't tested the burger though.

And now there is a new bar / schnitzel / burger joint (Beya's Wurstbode) next door that needs to be tested as well.

Not good, this being the bikini season and all. Frankly I hope they all suck.

I wouldn't advise this plan of action to anybody involved in a relationship with a TG whether she is a former BG or not.....it would be tantamount to saying I don't love and don't want you anymore....

gotta agree with Gee and M26 on this...a TG's culture dictates that her man "takes care" (whatever that encompasses..it is often less about money and more about total welfare) no matter if he is Thai or Falang..you can't fight all you want against that culture but if you want to have a successful relationship with a TG you'd better take it into consideration

OK I'll give the burger a go this afternoon and give my report if it is a good'un...being mostly Aussie I like beetroot on a burger...though its been a while...the fush 'n chups sound good and might also appeal to my NZ side...555

Gotta say,the fumes from the cooking of chilli in the little Thai kitchen out the front is overcoming with the prevailing rainy season winds there.

Shouldn`t be a problem in the high season.
