Well I haven't been on here much lately but thought I'd post my last experience at a spa surrounding the mall.
I walk in, after about a minute a pleasant enough attendant comes out and asks if i have an appointment as no one is currently available.
No problem I thought to myself, I'll just go elsewhere or come back another day so I just say "no", she then quickly responds, just wait ten minutes in room, I ask "who is available" she says "a girl will be available in 10 minutes" Ok she takes me to the room, I pay the one hour fee and wait. After 10 minutes a lady walks in that's staring 50 right in the kisser. and she aint no Priscilla Presley either. Well this put a bad taste in my mouth fairly early, but i was hoping to get a good massage as sometimes the more experienced ladies really know what they're doing and provide a top notch massage. After she offered light, medium or hard, I selected hard/deep tissue and reluctantly proceeded with the massage. She then begins to cough, first once then twice then again, I immediately say are you ok, do you need some water? She says yes fine just dry throat. This does not bode well, to compound the problem the hard massage which she offered has turned into a weak skin rub.
She continues to cough throughout, I'm lying face down and cringe each time.
She then says turn over and asks which part to do next, I just said oh doesn't matter it's up to you, she said everyone is different and then asks me how much I'm going to tip. Not really wanting or caring about a HE at this point (just trying to get out of there with as little as damage as possible). So instead of my usual response to that question I actually said "i won't be tipping you very much much maybe only $25" (my last two visits here were positive I tipped $40 each time) she then said make it $30, I said no I can't do $30, hoping that was the end of it and we could wrap up. Much to my chagrin she accepted $25 which is way low in this part of town. As expected the HE was mechanical and had no flair at all.
Well that was that I thought, I got dressed handed her one $20 and then another one and said "$15 change". At this point I notice her left eye looks like the stunned winking emoji.
After a minute she comes back holding a few coins, some quarters and a couple loonies. She says "come back next Friday I'll take care of you". Are you kidding me? So after a shitty massage where I get coughed on for an hour she pulls this bullshit stunt.
Well this was the straw that broke the camels back. I let her have it right at the reception desk, told her the massage was garbage, that I won't stand for her pulling that BS stunt and keeping my money and that I would be informing the owner (Julie - who is a very nice lady btw), she got mad and stared yelling that she needs to work and that I should go ahead and tell the owner.
She gave me back one of my 20's and I left.
Lesson learned, from now on will be double checking everything when going into unknown territory. Can't stand being lied to or being taken for a ride. Also pro-tip: always bring exact change with you. Unless you put up a stink which many of us are not willing to do, many of these ladies will find excuses not to give change when you ask them to break a bill.
