Your argument of hating a public figure youโve never met is nonsense. Youโve got guys here (Iโm sure you are included in that group) that posts hateful stuff towards Trudeau or Hilary Clinton or Doug Ford and theyโve never met them
Iโve followed and am aware of Trumpโs character for decades. Heโs a partial list
One of the women who accused Trump of sexual misconduct has sued him for defamation after he labeled her claims false.

The office of the President of The United States is the highest office in the nation. It require intelligence, a psychologically strong stable individual that can take a lot of heat, someone that will bring a country together (a unifier), a strong commander in chief, a negotiator (negotiation means compromise) and someone who can navigate the political system and most importantly puts his people first (all people and not selecting the ones he likes).
Donald Trump fails in every respect. Heโs only about himself and how to get rich. He never unified the country, he divided, the way he treats women (over 20 sexual allegations) is disgusting, he faked bone spurs to get out of serving in the military during Vietnam, he insulted an actual war hero in John McCain who actually fought in Vietnam was captured and suffered enduring injuries ever since, heโs a fraudster with his failed university and scheme to Jack up rents for low income housing units, he has no negotiation skills as everything has to be his way which doesnโt work for allies and friendly nation (the ones that US defence and safety relies on for intelligence in order to strike an enemy, for access to forward operating bases and airfields and resupply ports and allies to buy US military equipment to get the unit costs down so the US can buy their own stuff cheaper), etc.....
The majority of this stuff was known and out there before he even ran for office. Itโs a character decision and he is the lowest kind of character around.
Now, you said heโs done a lot for the US. Provide us a list and come prepared to defend it. Otherwise that is a meaningless statement.
Iโm not complaining about the outcome of the impeachmentโs but the process. The DOJ policy not to indict or prosecute a sitting President is policy. The Mueller Report produced evidence but they couldnโt do anything due to that Policy so it became a political impeachment process. The House impeached (their constitutional right), the Senate has the power to try the President but then voted not to call any witnesses which is not a trial at all so they were negligent in their responsibilities. 2nd impeachment trial time: first vote tabled was can a former President be tried for impeachment (the impeachment that happened while he was in office). The vote came in โYesโ (some Republicans also voted yes). The Trial goes on, after all Senators who swore an oath to be impartial and attentive, you had some Republicans doodling during the trial and others going to the aid of the defence lawyers on how to craft their argument. Then when it came time to vote, many Republicans voted not guilty based on their feeling that the trial itself was Unconstitutional (which was just fucking voted was Constitutional just a few days earlier). Then when the trial was over you had Mitch McConnell who voted not guilty for that reason actually make a speech that Trump was practically and morally responsible and could be held responsible in a court of law. Fucking cowards these Republicans are that they canโt adhere to their oath of office and then pass the hot potato. So, if getting rid of that policy to allow the DOJ to act because the political process is broken then that needs to happen.
As for Kasich, I liked that he was a Governor in a swing state so he could work across lines. And look at his competition: Trump is a low character grifter that Iโve known about his character for decades, Rubio and Cruz were self serving weasels, Ben Carson and Rand Paul
, Jeb Bush might have been ok and is a decent man but after his brotherโs Presidency the name was too tainted.
