Finally got my 2nd shot of Pfizer at Rexall a week ago today. I usually wait about a week after the meeting so they don't connect the reviewers with the person coming in.
I arrived 10 minutes before the shot, I mean meeting, and she met me at the counter with uniform and a tight g-string mask. It was a bit uncomfortable waiting there with the previous client waiting around to give the OK to leave. I kept my eye on the floor, ceiling and walls to avoid eye contact with previous client. I met Amy at the counter, she took all my information. She looked about late 20s or early 30s, not an aunty, but it's hard to tell the age of these people behind a mask, but it looked promising. Five minutes later after processing my information, she told me to have a seat at the injection site. I'm glad it was Amy so there was NO bait and switch. The chair was hard, no wheels but it swiveled. It wasn't padded or heated but YMMV. I wasn't sure if I should completely undress or keep a towel on. But, after reading a lot of reviews on this site, hobbyist recommended to going undraped to let them know you're open for extras. I asked if there was a place to change and Amy said I didn't have to. After taking the seat and chickening out, I left my clothes on and went draped. Amy asked right or left, and with a smile on my face, i thought she was ambidextrous and I said both. After much negotiations, we settled on the left since there hasn't been a lot of left handy massage therapists I've encountered. A new day a new experience. To my surprise, Amy raised and removed my sleeve to expose the area. She rubbed the area with what looked like a super small, micro towel. It wasn't warm so I was a bit confused with the tiny, warm/not warm towel service. I was also a bit confused since she rubbed the area with her right hand when we clearly negotiated on the left arm. Within 30s and with my eyes cloths, as I usually have my eyes clothes during these events, she said I was done. It was a bit disappointing since she didn't ask me about the pressure that I would like and just punched my in my arm. On the flip of my shirt sleeve, there was no tease but I'm glad there was no jack hammer experience with the needle. Sad to say now that I'm getting older, at 53 years of age, it was a bit premature and over in 10 seconds after the initial rub with the tiny, warm towel service. She then told me to wait 15 minutes before leaving Rexall. Now, I had to wait around avoiding eye contact with the next customer.
I'm always on the hunt for hidden gems or hope they become better with young talent once they learn the business. Would I repeat? I would repeat again because the potential. I would allow for the young talent, hidden gems to gain some experience or see what they have in the lineup. I'll keep calling back to Rexall on St. Albert Trail/Groat Road. to see who's working. I think Amy usually works weekdays. I didn't see any signs there about no reviews so hopefully, this doesn't piss them off. Oh lastly, they gave me a paper which I assume was a receipt for insurance. Not sure if there is direct insurance billing from this site.
