I'm pretty sure my fish have ich. It really sucks. I have 2 parrot fish, an african dwarf frog, an albino placo, and a large oriental. We have just recently moved, and we'd had our fish for a really long time--I'd say 5 or more years--but once we moved, they all died off from the shock I suppose. So, then we got new fish. We got our dwarf frog and one of the parrot fish, with 3 others. Unfortunately, just after a few days we got them we had a heater malfunction. Our heater quit, and the 3 fish died, leaving the frog and the parrot. After getting a new heater and setting everything back up, we got three new fish. The other parrot, placo, and large oriental.
But, now we have another unfortunate event. Our original parrot has gotten those little white spots, and spread it to the other two new fish. I don't think our placo or the frog can get it, but I'm not sure. If the placo could, we wouldn't be able to see if because he's completely white. Anyway, the parrot has it the worst. She seems dead, but it's been probably a week since she first got it, and she's still alive. The large oriental just got it. It's barely noticeable on her, but she looks sick and is very inactive. And the other parrot barely seems to be held down. Out of all of the fish, he's the most active and healthiest.
How can I help the fish? I'm not sure what to do. We've had ich before, but I don't remember exactly what we did to make it go away. What should I do? I just want my fish to live. Thanks.
