I think some people focus on service, some on looks, and most are probably a middle ground like you describe. Those who are more inclined to service would be drawn to Akiko for sure. I just really felt misled when I saw her from all the reviews I read, and I want to help others like me avoid that.

Based on CAF reviews I saw Akiko about 3 years ago. I too was expecting something more based on the reviews. I booked an hour but made an excuse and left after about 25/30 min.

I don’t like to use the word unattractive as this can be subjective. What may be deemed unattractive to some may be seen as attractive to others. Let’s just say I did not find a physical connection with her. However; she was extremely pleasant and did everything possible to make my experience a pleasant one. She has the energy and sexual drive of someone 1/2 her age, and I can see to some, her top assets and her sexual appetite would please many.

What impressed me, as I made an excuse to leave early, she said next time I book an hour I could stay for 90 minutes due to leaving much before my booked time. I will not take her up on that offer.

A few years ago I would read a couple of positive reviews and see someone, only to be disappointed and wonder why? Now with the economy the way it is, I am more diligent on my decision to see somebody. I generally read copious reviews to make sure I visit someone with expectation of a good time, a personality and a look I hope to be physically and emotionally attracted with.

Thanks for turning this into a more productive thread. There is no hierarchy for me. The client picks the provider based on their own criteria. One person’s choices are not better or worse than another’s and I know that’s not what you’re saying. I came into this industry with a type I was interested in. It wasn’t long before I realized I needed a connection. Age plays a factor for me too. I’m 60. I had a connection with only one who was in her late 20’s but not with the others in their 20’s no matter how hot they were.
I’m not saying any of this to justify my choices but rather to show that we each make a choice for us as individuals.

Akiko asked me to give her feedback on her ad and I will, including getting rid of the old photos. I just haven’t had time. I did tell her that people will still choose to see her, they just want to know who they are booking.
I saw an ad on LeoList and the woman was well over 300lbs. She did not hide that fact in her ad and had a great write up. I’m sure she’ll get bookings.

My experience with Akiko was not a negative one but then I will not repeat with her. I went to see her based on many glowingly positive CAF reviews and my expectation going in was way too high. In retrospect, for what I paid, it was good value but I would not give a positive review. Here are the two main reasons I will not repeat:

1. Look - I am highly service oriented when selecting a service provider and no doubt Akiko is a service queen. But as stated already, there has to be a minimal amount of attraction involved. Compared to the pictures in the ad, Akiko is much more full bodied than what the various reivews and pictures would suggest, this may be an attractive thing for some of us, it is not for me.
2. Volume - We all understand that Akiko is busy and popular. I showed up for my appointment with Akiko on time and found that her parking spot was still occupied. I texted and waited, about 20 min. later, a gentleman came out, removed his car and I got a text saying I can come in. When I leave in approximately 50min. (I did not stay my full hour), another gentleman was waiting for the parking spot. At Akiko's price point and service level, she is a very busy girl; it is just my personal preference for a lower volume provider. A lower volume provider would generally adopt the practice of booking appointments with gaps so that her clients do not run into each other and there is a perception that she spent sufficient time to clean up in between.

This is a hobby based on personal opinions, while I highly value the services which Akiko provide she is not for me. But the point I want to make here is that she does not need me either, she is plenty busy without my business so there are plenty of men who find her services desirable. I am not here to form an opinion for you but to provide my version of a story so you can form your own expectation beforehand.

Than k you. While your reasoning is logical. I object to that word because it sounds rude and hurtful. Better to say you were not attracted to someone as opposed to calling them unattractive.
Some will say semantics but there is a difference. Intelligence plus class is what allows some to see the difference.

Also, just because someone is not attracted to someone, does not make them unattractive. Big difference between the two.
For anyone who wants to label this as being a white knight, being "too polite" or whatever other labels they like to attach because they do not have the class or intelligence to see the difference, you are the reason I hate the internet. Can't tolerate stupidity.

She will definitely get bookings. There are more than enough people who value her dedication to service. What it WILL help with, in my opinion, is reduce the amount of negative reviews from assholes like me.

Well in fairness I've never tried her, but I might have if it wasn't for all the overly positive reviews. Eastcoastdan does it but there was also another guy Mikehhma or something on CAF.

There has been a significant expansion of house/home based masseuses in Calgary. Not necessarily in their own homes. But cooperative arrangements where one masseuse with a house aligns with one or two or three others and they are in business together. Or one masseuse rents a room with adjacent bathroom/shower in a home etc. It is a win-win for everyone. And this is nothing new. In more mature cities like Montreal this has been around for decades. Surely, there must be more of this happening in Edmonton?

Yup that’s me. I guess the 2 different avatars didn’t fool anyone. I’ll be more blunt in this post, to communicate clearly, and then we can move on to the topic in the title. Or we can keep hashing this over and over. I can take it. The only skin I have in the game is the skin on my cock. My review that showed up in her ad explains my experience and what I was feeling. I actually held back a little because when I talk about some of the things I’m working on, and what happens in a session, I think it may sound like I’m bragging. As far as being thought of as a shill, that bounces off me with no effect. It says more about who thinks that than an about me. I’ve got nothing to prove. I’m doing my thing out there and having a hell of a time with people like Akiko. I get that she isn’t for everyone. I’ve never portrayed her as anything different than what I see and experience. I will never presume to tell anyone what they will see or experience. I don’t know how many times I have said that but I’ll keep going if needed. I thought all that was settled.
