Reminds me of one time I saw LauraEdmonton. It was, as usual, a fantastic time and, as usual, she wasn't rushed at all so we chatted afterward and had tea until I had to leave. We just said our good-byes and a kiss and hug and I left. About 5-6 blocks away I'm like, "Holy shit! I didn't pay her!!" So I pull a U-turn and head back and with a totally red face paid her with an extra green above my usual tip. I asked her why she didn't say anything and she just said, "I know you're good for it until next time!" What a great girl!

There was this home based woman that was "from Vancouver" and had advertised a reasonable base massage rate. We got about half way through the massage on the flip and she'd been teasing and we discussed HE. He prices were so unrealistic it was hilarious, omg. Then she started telling me some shit about how cheap people in Edmonton were, her rates were standard or even low for Vancouver. My big head was angry and my little head was not interested at all anymore, so I got up, handed her half the massage fee since we'd only completed half the massage, and I left.

That's the only time I can recall not at least paying the massage fee.

Curious about who this is. I saw a girl advertising from Vancouver. But didn't book an appointment. Not interested in wasting my time and being pressured into paying super high rates. Will avoid if possible and save my money.

That would be total BS, personal experience is that the low end pricing for Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal are all cheaper than Edmonton or Calgary. Of course, there are high end girls there, advertised as 18, university student, model etc etc that charges more, it is always a range and the big cities have big ranges. I know from personal visits that a generic walk-in asian massage joint is cheaper there, many has $40 an hour specials during the day, $60 regular. As far as Asian escorts go, Vancouver has the lowest rate across Canada, it is actually scary to see ads for BBFS for $120HH or $160H, even the Toronto ladies are not so blatant about such high risk behaviours. Average Asian micros are around $200 an hour and they typically draw younger ladies than our micros here. I doubt that you can find anyone here comparable at those price points. I personally know of at least one lady who is Vancouver based but works at a MP here because of the low Vancouver rates, she can make $100 an hour more with free room at the spa.

Non-Asians in Vancouver is a different story, >$300 is not uncommon, supply and demand; if you want a non-Asian, rates are much friendlier in Toronto or Montreal.

As far as I can tell, we do not have any ultra high end supermodel type of ladies here in Alberta and we pay much higher rates for average or below average ladies. Again, supply and demand, ladies (especially the young ones) don't want to live in Alberta and the demand remains high even through the pandemic. My two cents.

Curious if you have ever offered less than the full 60 minute price, even if the massage was bad? I know I haven’t. And I doubt others has have shorted the ladies on the initial massage. I got my receipt, and I’ve just never gone back to that provider again.

I don’t think the “pay up front” service is the issue to me. I’ve had a few poor massages that I’ve still paid full price for, it just turns into one and done for me.
The only part I might negotiate on is the flip……Maybe. And even then, if it’s half ass, I pay, and add then to my no fly zone.

I would never skip or short on the full 60/90 minute price. I do pay that without question. What I'm saying is I'll only pay after service is delivered. And I will tip appropriately and even generously depending on the quality of the massage, etc.
My point is - do I pay up front for dinner when going out to a restaurant, or pay up front for service on my car from the garage? No. I pay upon delivery of said services. XP and many others have this figured out and attract many repeat customers based on this very business model.

I don’t pay up front in semi-legit places. I have been asked but alway decline. I’ve never been turned away. My reason is simple. To me, it is the best way to insure I get my full time and that they give their best effort. I have always paid the agreed price but any extra tip of course is based on effort and overall experience. And yes, the ones that ask for prepayment have told me they worry about those massage and dash clients. I also understand their experience working in Toronto may have something to do with it .

what you should know is that these ladies are dealing with dine n dashers all the time. their margins are much tighter than your gas station or mechanic etc etc. its not the same. these are individuals providing a very personal and often intimate service, not a mechanic. if you lack consideration for their request to pay up front, are you expecting to still get their best service? you think they're super motivated to get all of your fee plus a tip? i don't think so, and i've heard as much from a couple of ladies who talk openly about it.

It’s interesting the different points of view on this subject. I will respectfully disagree. I simply don’t pay for a service in advance of service delivery. It’s not something I believe in or have ever done in my own business. If someone wants to paid upfront, that is certainly their privilege to ask. It’s also my privilege to decline.
