Ok. Looks like you are looking for one and only one answer, and that would be what that make you feel comfortable. Please be advised that in most cases of STI, it takes few days to few weeks until symptoms start in the infected person. In Canada the statistics says sex between couples happens on average once every two weeks. So if there is something in one of the partners, has been transferred already. The point of informing is as you mentioned to get the spouse tested. That being said, I will not go further with this discussion. I see lots of people in this website much interested in BBFS, so the chance that someone who is married and got infected is high, if they not making the BBFS story up or being sarcastic about it ! Over 500 people have seen or read our conversation and maybe they can share their stories. I do appreciate your concern, but opposite to what you mentioned that I'm trying to scare people off, I'm NOT. I don't think people here are that stupid to not know if they take a bite of a red pepper with the seeds, it will burn. So someone might enjoy the hotness of chilly and takes the risk of afterward burn at the other end. I prefer to do it safe and do it for longer than get burned. Just imagine for a second that someone like Sleeze guy might be 10% honest, then either he infects someone or gets infected by someone. Number of infected people multiply by 1000s in two weeks. That's why it is a serious matter and public health concern. Take a big bite of hot pepper and burn.
Like anyone else we talk about work experiences and this topic is usually a very interesting one, sometimes funny too. And what I've said is what actually happens. I can say around 10% of the cases end up in public health hand and that's where our role ends. You could provide wrong information to your doctor ie. you are single, divorced (if you are not in real world) but that needs to think of when you register. You can go to a walk in clinic and provide false information when this has happened anytime, so there would be no follow up (I technically should not say these stuff!!) but at the end, health Canada comes or not come, you are a risk to anyone else that you have sex unprotected.
Am I off the topic again, YES, but you will get burned sooner or later if you go unprotected. What happens after, then remember these discussions.
Last word, If you go ALL IN in poker, you might win big, you might loose it all, but statistically all gamblers are losers when you add up the numbers. I just want to play smart that gives me longer time at the table. Cheers!
