LOL, of course his middle name would have to be Lecter. Um, would that make men think I'm crazy?
I thought I had decided about the crate, but after thinking about it some more I realize I need to consider this a piece of furniture. It's too big to hide, and I have to look at it every day, so I don't want Ugly.
Things have sure changed since the last time I bought a dog crate, they make them now that can be used as an end table. I was tempted by a wicker one, but really wicker isn't my favorite, and for the same $$ I can look at wood. ahahahaha I said I'm looking at wood.
:
The only completely-perfect one I've found costs exactly twice what I decided was reasonable, so I'm still looking. I really want one with a removable tray in the bottom, a lot of the wood ones claim the bottom is waterproofed and stain-resistant but I can't quite believe it. It just seems gross to not be able to remove and clean the bottom.
I did order an orthopedic dog bed for my room, in case his hips are bothering him and he doesn't want to jump up on the bed. And I've decided on his bed for the living room, but can't decide the color until I pick the crate.
I've been shopping online all afternoon, I also needed a new shower curtain. The one I have is pretty, but it reminds me too much of my old house, and I'm trying to leave those things behind. I'll have my own bathroom again, and I bought the girliest shower curtain EVER, lolol it's a little different from my usual understated-florals.
I'm also having to get rid of a piece of furniture, and it's come down to an old vanity that was my mom's, or a desk that was, sadly, at some point painted a ghastly green. I'll have to get it refinished...it trumps the vanity because it was built by my great-grandfather. The vanity can still stay in the family. :great:
In fact now it's being picked up tomorrow, so I suppose I should take all the stuff out of it. Wish that wasn't my junk drawer, sigh. And now I've decided I can also get rid of more reminds-me-too-much stuff that's in the garage, so I need to go back down there and go through boxes again.
Fuck, I hate moving. :arf:
