MIDVALE, Utah (KUTV) — An investigation is underway after a body was found inside a massage parlor in Midvale.

Sgt. Amyee Race with Unified Police said the incident happened just before 9 p.m. on Thursday, following reports of a suspicious circumstance at the business located at 7444 State Street.

Upon arrival, police found a body declared deceased on the scene.

Police faced challenges in communication due to a language barrier, as the individuals at the massage parlor spoke Mandarin. However, two witnesses on the scene were being questioned by police.

No information was released on whether a suspect or suspects had been identified.

Additional details about the victim were also unknown. It remained undetermined whether the person found dead was an employee of the massage parlor or a customer.

The incident remains under investigation.
