Is there nothing so simple that it is beyond taking political sides over?

Here are the facts. Half the country feels the election may not have been fair. There's a process for resolving that. It's being followed.

All of the Democrat voices decrying this should reflect for a moment. Essentially the same thing happened in 2016, only then, the Democrat candidate actually conceded the night of the election. The Democrats never accepted the result and spent more than two years and many millions of dollars on an investigation which they said would prove Trump had not fairly won, only to have their own champion tell them there was no proof of the alleged foreign interference.

Here's another hard fact--no matter what your political stripe, you should be very concerned that the media is so in the bag for one side. A credible media has to be seen as fair and balanced and we are a long way from that.

As I said in my other post "This election is not even close, recount if you want" ...do it to satisfy all that the winner is the winner.

The danger here is that trump went on to say WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE that the election was rigged and the entire election was a fraud (this occured at 2:30am election night) ......VERY serious allegations for a Democratic Country!! And that is the reason why half the country feels the election was rigged. As a leader, he has a responsibility to not speak until he gets the facts. He had a group of people, some with automatic weapons trying to enter a voting facility in Arizona on the night of the election. I have watched him closely, so far he has not demonstrated the maturity to lead.

Of those, a recent poll showed that 70% feel that the election was unfair. That makes 22% of the country. But I guess that's moot. Filing a grievance doesn't require quorum after all.

Impeachment requires the assent of Congress, which was in control of the GOP, which was more firmly behind Trump than it is today.

The media problem is a multi-headed hydra. One issue was when the Fairness doctrine was repealed

The doctrine meant news media had to present both side of an opinion. Once repealed, the balance was lost and only one side had to be presented. The consumers of the media then gravitated to the opinion they liked the most which polarized them to the right or left. Losing the other side of the story lost the debate factor which forced people to think, talk and compromise.

Then you have the blurring of the lines of what media is. Sean Hannity doesn’t consider himself a journalist but the consumers do. He considers himself a talk-show host or opinion-host. That’s his licence to not have to follow journalistic standards and spew out whatever he wants. The consumers then take it as the truth when it isn’t necessarily so. Others are just as bad but it’s an example.

Then you layer in Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube, etc. It’s the Wild West of content with no editorial oversight. So people are bombarded with endless amount of shit and start believing it. People are also so lazy now that few take the effort to fact check.
