Sometimes, guys, although it seems simple to post and host a schedule for 30
girls at an MP, it can really be difficult when many girls are new to the spa
for their first shift and they don't show up. Or they went home early for the
day. Or they were not feeling well and left early. Or they get fired. Or suddenly
girl A switches with girl B the evening before. Or a regular mpa doesn't show
up for her shift. Or a regular mpa can't find babysitting and is coming in late.
Or a regular mpa has a family emergency and has to leave right away. Or the mpa
still has not returned from her holiday and is currently a.w.a.l.
Now you have all these customers who have been told by the internet that
certain mpa's are in when they are not. Customer gets to the spa, maybe he drives
an hour like some of you have said in other posts, and your appt. is not going to
happen because the mpa is not there. Naturally, you are upset. Where as the
chances are that if you had phoned to book your appt. most of these appointments
would not have been made and you would have been told that your mpa for
whatever reason, it not available. By booking by phone and confirming your
appt. just before you leave, your chances of having a no show appt. is very slim.
I agree that it is very good business to have schedules on line but some spa's
do not have the interest in becoming internet proficient. Most spa's who have
their schedule on-line are also the ones actually changing the information themselves
to keep it up to date. Other spa's do not require so many changes to the schedule
because they have a strict policy with their attendants about not switching shifts,
or calling in ill too often etc...Other spa's have less strict rules and allow their
attendants more leniency with their work. It may seem simple to you guys to make
a schedule and adjust it accordingly, but if you ask any manager, they will tell
you how long it takes to make a schedule that is accomodating for girls, customers,
and the MP itself. There has to be a good mix of different girls for the customers,
shift's where the girls personality compliment each other for less problems,
shift's that have reliable girls to arrive on time or at all. Shifts that have popular
girls and some not so popular for walk-ins.
There are many business' in today's day and age, with the increasing use of the
internet, that I still cannot know their schedule on-line. I never know when my
bank manager is in, her schedule in not on the internet, I have to call. I don't know
when my favourite hairdresser is in, I have to call. I have to call to see when my
insurance agent is in and when I can see him, and I still have to call my doctor's
office to find out my doctor's schedule. If any business should have on line
schedule's, it should be those professions! However, there is a fight for your
MP business, as there certainly are less and less MP's these days than before.
Having all their info on line, is a great business asset, but not everyone has
the interest in doing so. Maybe because of the above posted scheduling conflicts
that some spa's have!
