I don't believe any of what you're saying but if you feel your Doctor would do that, I'd suggest you find a new doctor. Perhaps a psychiatrist would be a good place to start.

Your Doctor can undoubtedly access the test results if you have OHIP pay for the lab work. If you chose to pay out of your own pocket, I don't believe they're there for him to find, but may be available if they do some weird search specifically to find it, and I have trouble imagining anyone giving a fuck about that. To suggest otherwise, implies some grand conspiracy to find your clap test, which just seems very strange to me. I assume that those of you are all concerned about this are concerned that your Doctor is going to go out of their way to uncover the tests, and then show themm to who, your wife? But why would they do that? You're sounding a touch paranoid. But if you feel this way, there's always the good old Hassle_Free Clinic.

Anyway, I'm not going to debate this with you. But if you're using that as an excuse not to get tested, then that's a whole other concern. And consider this... What's the greater concern, that your doctor conspires to out you to your spouse, or you giving your wife an STI? Good luck explaining that!

I think if you really do not want the information to go back to your significant other, its hasslefree clinic, all the way. The other suggestions do not seem as guaranteed privacy like anonymity is.

If you and your spouse share the same GP, and the GP knows you have STI. Your GP can't tell your spouse that you have STI. This is just a professional misconduct if they do. No patients are important enough for any GPs to lose their medical license.

I wouldn't go to my GP for these tests, but I don't mind my GP knowing. I asked my GP before and my GP suggested me to go to sexual health clinic.

I think some people were naive to believe their GPs would have time (without pay) to look up results of your STI tests out of their good heart and caring? If you do, please let me know I would switch to your GP.

If you cannot imagine the million ways that one person can drop a hint to another, you must not have hung around with human beings too long! LOL.

Anyway, I am not taking a shot at you, I just mean, seriously a doctor could let the information pass without losing his license. Look how hard it is to defrock a doc who sexually interferes with patients! It was eye opening. So I doubt they lose much sleep over losing their license for “passing hints”.

In any case, people can enjoy taking STI tests with their GPs. The hassle free clinic beckons for us paranoid types.

I wasn't angry then and I'm not now. I just think you're paranoid about your Doctor sharing your test results. Confidentiality is an absolute requirement for practitioners. If you have a legitimate concern that your Doctor is sharing your health data, then you should report them to the OMA. They will launch on investigation and you'll need to find a new Doctor.

Ya, I've had several PMs from guys I have never spoken to wanting to know who it was. I am not sharing that information...

Thing is, you can catch sooo many other things that are hidden for example genital warts, HPV, syphilis that in most cases you have no clue you have it till wife gets a medical and badabing!!

Hence the need for regular and frequent testing.
