It may be a little off topic (or not). I am quite curious about doing a week or 2 at a luxury resort with a companion. I think it would be fairly easy to find someone to travel with but I would prefer a more professional arrangement so I don't have a presumed relationship to contend with when back in Canada.

The one thing that you have to consider when bringing any kind of companion is paying for their time away (no matter on the type of services provided).

If you factor in that that same girl would be working a 40 hour week (and say making $40 per massage x 5 massages per day (estimate)), you are looking at a fee of:
- 40 x 5 = $200/day
- 200 x 10 business days = $2000 in lost wages that they would be making if they stayed home.

You would also have to cover their air fare and meals for the time that they are away.

Not saying that you can't cover all that, but I know people in other legitimate professions (where their clients took them on a trip) and this is what was explained to me.

The person that you are taking may/may not be able to afford the trip being offered, so you will be expected to cover all of these out of pocket costs......

Just saying......(or would you like to consider looking for a massage from the place/resord that you are visiting??)

As for travelling companions, I 100% agree with XTC27's comment about hiring a local when you arrive. For trips to Asia, I had chartered girls for longer durations there on more than one occasions. My fondest memory weas a trip to Cambodia where I met and hired a moonlighting young lady for the two weeks. She had a bookkeeper day job, I paid her more than her annual salary to spend two weeks with me as my tour guide/translator. We both had a great time. No need to pay for travelling cost and your money goes a long way with the local girls.

It was back in 2017 & 2018 in Shinoukville, more layback and lower prices as compared to Phnom Penh. I did not pick a super model, I picked a petite 23yo plain looking "bookkeeper". Back then, my girl was making around 500,000KHR a year as a parttime bookkeeper, iirc, I offered her 1,200,000KHR plus gifts fancy food etc. plus I left her a 300,000KHR parting gift. It sounds like a lot until you realize that it is just a little more than $500CAD. I generally prefer the plainer looking petite girls. To put things in context, back then, it was only around $30CAD for a street girl or freelancer to overnight with you. If you find your girl inside a girly bar or a massage parlour, you pay double that plus a fine. Street girls were generally pretty aggressive and were found a along the beach and main drag. Freelancers were pretty layback and scattered at restaurants/bars near the resorts. I like parttime freelancers. I found mine at a bar next to my resort.

Most Cambodian girls did not carry condoms back then so it is up to you whether you want to carry and use one. Not sure about 2024 Cambodian rates and safety practices; even if rates doubled, still a bargain.

Yes, I paid for all of the food and drinks. I let her choose all of the places she wanted to try to make sure it is an experience for her as well. I made a point of buying her a gift every day, usually clothing or small jewelries. And I think my parting gift of 300k was a little too generous but I want to make sure she would remember me if I return. Overall, I am probably closer to $100CAD a day on her but I still think it was great value.

With all of the online scams, I personally no longer trust remote connections, I prefer to meet the person for real, get to know her then make the offer. Once you are on the ground, there are MANY to choose from, no need to pre-book. With this Cambodian girl, we did not overnight the first night. I made the offer only after meeting her for a lunch/afternoon/dinner the next day, long enough to think that her part time bookkeeper story was legit.
