what has worked for me over the last 20 years.

1. i use my personal phone.
2. I’ve given no one the passcode to my phone. No one uses my phone but me. Same with my laptop etc.

I picked up a sim for lucky mobile and did the $15/month text and phone plan (250mb data if you use reoccurring payments).
So far not bad. It's in an old phone hidden at the bottom of my work bag.
I mostly hobby during work hours so easy to hide for me.
Hesitant to pay at first but you can fill bullshit data online with fake name.
I figured if I'm paying approx $300/month for this hobby then whats another $15.

Was using textnow and hushed but getting less and less replies with those apps.

I still use my phone for the SPAs, I had a burner it was ok .. my wife and kids never even went in the app. If I ain't going to a SPA then I want then at my private condo which nobody knows about and was used as an AirBNB. My wife does go through my phone and she always has.. even my kids know the code. This is probably the main reason I will never get to experience Indy's.. too much txting and coordination. Those SMS messages are all captured somewhere..I just hide the #s under work people names (but like home), most of the time I am deleting the call history.
