How many "Farewell Tours" did The Who have back in the 80's?

Remember the 3 nights at Maple Leaf Gardens, then ANOTHER farewell tour in 88 or 89?

The point is, it's possible to take breaks or scale back hobbying for financial (or other) reasons, but I'm not sure if anybody really leaves.

Also, I'd miss you guys!

Yeah I've announced hiatuses/retirements in the past (twice I think once was for a SO but that ended and the other was more just a loss of the thrill). Sometimes you get into that head space where you think you're done with it all..... be it boredom, be it financial reasons, be it a SO.

But like the afforementioned reasons things change and so many of us find our ways back.

I don't think it's a cry of attention I think for some it might be just them thinking out loud whether they really mean it is another story and can only be told by future posts by our retiring poster.

This hobby is what it is. Regardless if you are SC guy, MP guy, or an SP guy, this is one of the oldest hobbies around. Retirements come up so often I can't even take them too seriously. Of course I wish them well, and don't mean to be negative, but massageplanet.net will always be here and those who retire know where to find us. IMHO it is about balance, hobby a bit, and mix it in with your civilian endeavours. Jumping the gun and saying you will never hobby again is to me naive, but if you can retire becaus eyou met someone or what not, then all the more power to you. As I said, you know where to find us...

Very good point & the Who are coming out with a brand new studio album this year so another tour can't be too far behind.
