Im going to be in Allegro Papagayo for 5 days 2 weeks from now. Was wondering if there are any spots(strip clubs or escorts) you can recommend?

Short answer, no. You can probably do an internet search for escorts and pay through the nose for one to come see you. There may be some local girls whom you could meet casually and would accept $ for sex. Most small resort towns on the coast have no real mongering "infrastructure." The place itself looks rather 'family friendly' but perhaps they don't mind if you bring back some company.

I guess it might sound like I am "recommending" that, but I am simply saying that IF he is looking for "action," there aren't going to be other options. I am NOT saying he should try to solicit anything, just that IF there are girls available, they won't be in nonexistent strip clubs or nonexistent pick up spots or nonexistent massage parlors. If he had asked before he booked his trip, I would have told to forget his plans, do some homework and he'd probably end up in Jaco if beach and sex were his goal.

Like a lot of first timers, they book a trip and THEN do research. The result is almost always disappointment.

And god help you point this out, you become the jerk. Its getting like on CRT if you don't validate every bad idea, you are not being "nice" or "fair" to newbi's. Bilko lives in CR and has forgotten more about the place than most will ever know.

Even the most cursory search on the board will tell you Guanacaste is not a hotbed of activity.

Guys are going to find out that CR is not one giant whorehouse, and the P4P options are really only prevalent in certain sections of San Jose and Jaco - rest of the country - hit or miss.

When in Liberia (from experience)or any where else in Guanacaste, if you decide to make contact with a Chica on the streets make dam sure you look at her Cedula first before you talk or do anything else. I ran into one who smiled and waved at me to stop. She was a stone cold fox, and when I stopped to check her out she look old enough. But when I looked her Cedula she was not of age (birthdates here are "day/month/year", different then in the US). I booked it out of there as fast as I could.
Most P4P is at local bars and it takes a lot of time to find one that is up to my standards anyway. You have to make several trips usually to find that diamond in the ruff. Guanacaste is not like Jaco or San Jose by any means.

The most hilarious part is you chose the word "solicit". What's our next word for the day, 'Stalk' ?

You don't solicit anything. You sit at a park or walk between the local Soda and Super (C-store) and if you see a girl you make small talk. Do you have the time ? Is it normally this hot (or cool) here ? Then if the girl is responsive, I ask, Are you waiting for your boyfriend ? This question will usually tell you what your looking to find out. Some girls will respond ,"I don't have a boyfriend"


After a few practices , you will know which girls are interested in talking with a Gringo and which girls are not.
