If they are any good they can like the job. They do have to take a lot. They also have good guys that ring their bell and it's obscene money.

As far as callouses on their hearts. If you have four good regulars and you lose one you can always rely on the other three or say it was just about the money. It's different from a monogamous relationship. I had a kid say I must not take anything from anyone because I am big and tough. I told him I take it all the time.
