A few years ago one of my sisters was dating a guy ("Tony") who HAD been married to a single Mom dancer ("Gina"). Everybody knew that Gina was a dancer, but still accepted her and her child into the family. A couple of years into the marriage, Gina packed her son into the car, left for Montreal and never came back. Rumor has it Gina met some wealthy client while dancing and moved in with him.

Here's the thing:

Tony was an auto mechanic and Gina was well into her 30's. Gina's dancing days were coming to an end, and there's no way a mechanic could backfill a dancing job that pays cash $$$$.

You haven't said if your wife is still dancing, or if you'll HAVE to support her when her dancing days are over. Unless your wife has professional skills to fall back on, she'll probably be expecting YOU to backfill the $$$$.

I've got a VERY close friend who makes BIG money and is casually involved in the SP scene. He's a good looking single guy and it's amazing how older SP's are all over him wanting to date. Others text him asking for appts, weekends away etc. So yes while it's possible to date a girl in the business, you'd better believe that some girls are looking for a meal ticket and calculating who they "fall for."

I'm sorry if that sounds cold and cynical, but I'm 44 and have seen too much shit in my time to think otherwise.

As for me, I've never dated an MPA. A few have become close friends, and I'm truly grateful for their love and genuine friendship. They’re in no way anything like the hustling black widows above. I’m not trying to paint all girls the same, but every client needs to know the dark underside of the sex trade. Go into ANY relationship with your eyes wide open, and be ready to bail out quickly.

Anyway, to the OP I truly hope your happiness lasts forever. Everybody should have somebody special in their life…

Seems Gia's dancer status was more tolerated than accepted. Maybe the rumour was more of a reach back to the SC job for an excuse and a convenient way for 'Tony' to shift the entire blame for the relationship to Gina.

It is simple minded to assume that SC dancers are there because they love the work. Just another perspective but the fact that Gina was a single mom could explain why she had to work there. The fact that she had to continue to work there to support both her son & 'Tony' doesn't bode well for her future. Maybe 'Tony' didn't sit down and help his wife develop options for a stable future. Maybe 'Tony' had accepted the trophy woman represented by image of the SC environment but not the responsibilities associated with a real relationship. This is one of the reasons most SC dancers don't want relationships with customers.

Most of the massageplanet.net members have a smug attitude on whether a massage provider or dancer would be a good mate. Why on earth would a girl want to date a guy that frequents MP & SC's instead of finding a real relationship ?

I can honestly tell you I only met Gina once. Tony brought her over to my Mom's place on XMAS day. Tony was a friend of my brother in law long before he dated my sister. (long story) We'll never know for sure WHY Tony and Gina broke up.

My parents were divorced and anyone who's been through it personally knows there's alot of shit thrown back and forth. The truth is my Dad put up with alot from my Mom, and my Dad was no prize at times either. When I was married I made a few horrendous mistakes which I only realized after divorce and the passage of time. I'm still on good terms with my ex and I apologized for those things, and she did the same. Now it's done and hopefully I've learned.

In the case of Gina and Tony, who paid the MOST were Tony's parents. As the only Grandson they got very attached to Gina's son:

Ignore the Glock 17 down the front of his pants. That cap is fo some disrespecting punk who's also named "Le-" something or other. The other bitches hang around his condo coz he's maintaining an image in front of his niggaz. Those bitches are giving him money fo his new record company called PHAT A$$...

2.) Lite pimp BF.

He's SO hot and reminds her of (insert Hollywood hunk name here.) The MPA is under the illusion that she’s jerking old cock for THEIR wonderful future together. Said BF takes a cut of her earnings which he’s “saving” for her. You know, so she doesn’t spend it at SQ1 on clothes, expensive perfume and other shit.

It’s only a coincidence that he’s not working right now but he’s REALLY trying hard. He must care coz he got out of bed at 3:00 to drive her into work for her 4:00 PM shift. On the way home he's picking up some E, G or MDMA so they can go partying at Muzik afterwards. He's promised to pay her back the $100 once he gets his shit together...

Hey AZN I agree with some of your point's some are too stereotypical .You got to blame some of the mpa's .I Had a friend with a good looking brother educated good job the hole 9 and when it came time to choose a woman out of all the 10's he got he picked the worst one of the bunch.Some mpa`s make the same mistake.

Woman in this industry get spoiled with the cash flow just like like anyone making alot of money so it's hard to go back to a 9 To 5 when it's all done.I've met alot of great gals in the industry but I really can't take any of them seriously cause at the end of the day i'm just $$$ to them.I would marry Keyonna though haha.

That said, MPA truth is stranger than fiction sometimes. I know of one MPA who had her EX-BF's name tattooed on her in TWO places. She honestly thought this guy was God, and he was one of those gangsta types... One time she walked out of my session because he called and TOLD her to come home. She handed back my door fee and said he was more important than finishing my session. True story.

Whenever I hear certain MPA stories now I try to remember how young and stupid I was in my early 20's also.

I agree that girls involved in the MP business too long lose their real world financial perspective. Many start to look upon their clients as walking ATM's, so you're smart in not viewing yourself as anything different. You learn who you can trust with time and experience.

We can talk all day about generalities. But, it's the nuances of life make living interesting.

Most MPAs are honest about their intentions. It's a job. We're a source of revenue. They give phone numbers. Text us when business is slow. Remember our birthdays. That's the game. Most of us know it, and we play along.

Some MPAs are in denial or are delusional. They *think* they are above the fray (they actually care about their clients and aren't money grubbers), but when push comes to shove, actions speak louder than words. These are the ones to watch out for. They always say the right things. Look at what they do.

But I'm not entirely cynical. Friendships can develop. Funny thing though is that as close as these relationships get, there is *always* a limit (often on both sides). There is never complete openness and trust. Maybe there can't be. Maybe the business makes you compartmentalize your life, or always withhold something to protect yourself. Maybe you instinctively assume that the other person has the capacity to hurt you, and will.

There's only one MPA I've ever come across who expressed an interest in crossing the line, but I'm (almost ) sure she wasn't after my $$$. We started becoming friends. She wanted to meet outside the spa. When I made it clear that I wasn't interested in going further, she cut me off as a client. I respect her to this day.

At 24 I was very naive and took what everybody said at face value.
At 34 I’d listen but roll my eyes at the end.
At 44 I don’t listen I watch. If I like what I see, then I listen! It’s cut through alot of bullshit in my professional career.

I agree some MPA’s are very dangerous. They say the right things and understand exactly how the male mind ticks. They’re great at playing the “victim” card so nice guys will instinctively want to protect them. At the end you’re left confused, hurt and angry. Why didn’t I see this coming coz I’m a smart guy?

I’ve learned it’s best to Live in the Moment, when it comes to MP’s and MPA’s. Just enjoy the time you have while you have it, coz when the girl quits she’s probably GONE. I mean, how could she introduce you to her new BF that didn’t know she was an MPA?

I think many ex-MPA’s probably have a deep down fear an ex-client will OUT them, even accidentally. Therefore emails and texts may be OK, but probably never family BBQ’s.

That said, I don’t want to give the impression that I don’t appreciate my MPA friendships because I DO. I truly hope we’re buds for years. I just realize the ball on this is ultimately NOT in my court...
