My preference is WS as I am not a lover of the bar beer scene but, that does not mean Bangla is worse, just different.

Like Nellie, I* lost the tingle of sauntering down both but still get a lift in a good gogo.

My No 1 preference is Cowboy and Nana in Bkk over both WS and Bangla.

I missed the 24 hour cut off point for the flight to Bkk with AAsia yesterday to my good luck. The agent pointed out that AAsias price escalated that close to flight time (2290tb) and put me on Thai Air for 1900tb. Flying at 1pm..

To me both are great, just absolutly great places to holiday. Its hard to chose which one is better, I mean overall I prefer Patts to Phuket but when the question is between those two legenday strips only, I cant choose

Last time, in Pattaya (March) the prices were almost half of Patong
Drinks, and girls.

Patong is definitely pricing itself out. Beer is cheaper in UK.

Saying that, I am returning, in June, for two weeks to Patong and one in Pattaya. Yippeee!

You will get a good deal on hotels in Phuket at that time.

Some parts of Pattaya were pretty dead in feb/March, WS was quieter than usual. I think that the Koreans are taking a break from Thailand due to recent problems and maybe some Russians are now bankrupt.

the ''tingle'' in both places have gone for me too, so I stay in quiter areas in Pattaya where it is not ''in your face''.

I was in Pattaya in late March and noticed stark differences between it and Patong. The beer bars in Pattaya at that time were pretty much empty of clientele, but still full of BG's. When you walked in to a bar complex all the girls from each bar would howl like wolves to attract you to their bar. It was very offputting for someone like me as I like to try to keep a low profile. 55555

Patts was actually a happy hunting ground for the 4 nights I was there, but for me the girls were not as nice as the ones in Patong, and certainly nothing like in the GoGo's of BKK
