NAVI MUMBAI: The anti-human trafficking unit team has busted a sex racket been operated online by an escort agency at a rental flat in Shirawane village of Nerul. The cops have rescued three women aged between 25 and 30 years who were allegedly indulging in prostitution and arrested four men who acted as pimps for the escorts.
AHTU's senior inspector Vinod Chavhan said an alert citizen from Nerul had complained that there was a website, 'Navi Mumbai Escort Services', which was advertising to solicit customers. The advertisement also displayed a mobile number for interested customers.

"We checked the website and used a cop as a decoy who called on the number on Tuesday. The decoy demanded a woman escort for sexual favour. A person called the customer at the autorickshaw stand near D Y Patil College in Nerul."
The decoy reached the spot when a man, who identified himself as 'DK', arrived with three women and told the decoy to select one. As the latter paid for the escort, the team nabbed him and rescued the three women. The accused led the cops to his three accomplices at their rental house in Shirawane village.
