Do these DB/OB girls call DBs as Disco?

Last evening I was watching Indo -Pak match from my hotel at Gandhinagar and sharing my takes with my regular who was watching the game from her apartment in NM.

At that time, she referred the DB as Disco.

At first I got confused. But then she said again and laughed that I didn't know.
Which I actually don't.

The D in DB stands for “Disco” Bar…is what I assumed.

The Type of bar stands for the licence they have procured from excise office.

in earlier days ie late 90's
In Disco: the Colourful Lights and seating arrangement were like in disco.
There was a centre stage. mostly a circular raised platform with rotating Mirror chip ball as Chandeliers. The patrons/ guests were also allowed to dance, like its allowed in a Pub. So basically Pub/Disco licence is used for running a Dance bar

In Orchestra
there used to place for Band stands and a podium for Singers, who were actually low budget serious musicians.
without any of the Bargirls
Shera in Bhandup sonapur, and Indian Swad Thane Checknaka existed
which attracted family crowd as well, were operational till a few years back
Anna lobby used the beneficial loop holes to keep the bars open till early morning hours.

(Ladies) Service bar meant the waiters and service staff can be ladies. That was a privilege in those days. (With advent of McD, Dominos and Subway, females working in a restaurant is normal nowadays and not seen as a taboo occupation for ladies.)
Such a bar existed in MumbaiCentral opposite of Ac market. No hanky panky, female did the job what males do in regular Gents bar.
but the rule was to end their service hours by 9pm, again the loop holes to keep ladies in premises was misued here.
