I cannot remember if I read an article or listened to a podcast about the rise of people who are basically afraid of everything. If I remember it talked about how we have raised so many people in a protective bubble that now they cannot get over their fears. They were always so protected and never learned how to deal with fear that it is now causing them to basically freeze and need to feel protected again, thus the masks and lockdowns. Older generations went out and played and learned how to deal with falling and getting hurt or sometimes getting in tough situations (climbing up a tree and getting stuck out on a limb), they learned to deal with fear. The younger generation was wrapped in bubble wrap and didn't learn to cope with these things as kids.

I think it was a podcast on raising a weak generation. There was a quote something like "tough times create tough men, and good times create weak men". Now this is a generalization and there are always exceptions to the rules.

It's a great thing that as society evolved throughout history, women have found their voice in most parts of the world. The problem in the western world is, while their standing has changed for the better, it has also come at the expense of the men who used to dominate them. Instead of finding a balance where both men and women are equal, men have decided to overcorrect their ancestors' past transgressions towards women by becoming a bunch of submissive cucks. Somewhere along the line, they've conflated being a gentleman with being a beta male.

Change is good especially if it means more opportunities for women. However, if it also means completely redefining masculine traits by shunning every quality that has defined manhood for centuries, then is there really any progress being made? If the progressive thing nowadays is for men to stay at home, wear dresses, give soft handshakes and speak without any base in their voices, society is doomed. The world needs men who can respect women but still stay strong to counterbalance the dominance of the female species in today's world.

How ironic. Women bash alpha males for possessing strong, traditional, masculine traits. They label them toxic then they turn around and praise the white knight, beta orbiters. They prop up these fembots as what men should be in the 21st century. When push comes to shove though, they would choose the manly man over the soy boy. Why is that? Because no matter how much things have changed, no matter how much success and power women can attain in today's world, at the end of the day, most of them want to feel pampered, protected and loved. They can't get that with a weak manlet. Societal structures in the workplace may have changed but the male/female dynamic in the household or in your average romantic relationship will never change. An independent career woman in her right mind would still never settle for a submissive, unemployed, unambitious bum. She's still a lady and it's in her nature to want to be taken care of by a strong and secure gentleman.

All of this ties in to why most of us live in fear especially in these COVID times. There are many factors that lead to it but the lack of strong male figures in society plays a huge part in it all. Most men are mental midgets. The co-worker I told you about is the perfect example of that. The media, the politicians and the celebrities, all of whom he believes wholeheartedly, have gaslit him into believing that the virus itself (not the government control) will never go away. The vaccine at best, is just placebo to him. All the vax truly does for guys like him, is serve as some form of symbol. It's a moral gesture more than it is a cure to him.
