OMG, you won't be the first guy to have his heart broken by a bar girl, nor the last by any means...... been there, done that. And by spending a huge amount of money on a one night stand will not make you feel any better, just make you poorer.

Some advice if I may -- -- try and team up with another guy who has been here awhile and knows the ropes, as it will be someone with whom you can bounce ideas around, and who may be able to help you along the "straight and narrow" if indeed there is one in Thailand!!!!.

I bought it from a friend in new condition many years ago (it's still in pristine condition), and it sat in the closet most of its life.
