Unfortunately anything past the post in Ontario does not matter for seats. We need serious electoral reform so the country is represented uniformly in all Provinces and a senate with veto power and elected members on set 4 year terms.

The CPC were over 20 points ahead in the polls before January and poised to take a massive majority government. So, yes, they did better than they have in many years, the facts are that they blew a massive lead and tanked hard compared to where they were just five months ago.

Complete lack of strategy. They hinged their entire campaign basically on the carbon tax and Justin Trudeau. There was little in terms of substantive policy - it was all just "we hate those things, vote for us if you hate them too." Which was working, but c'mon, no contingency for JT resigning? Really?

Their economic plan is laughable at best. The proposal to cut revenues to raise revenues is hilarious and nonsensical. They were saving money from not enacting policies that are not in place today, like the expansion of the capital gains tax. WTF? But, it did have a lot of pretty pictures, so, all good?

I know ya'll love the conservatives because it's more "manly" to pronounce yourself conservative and your lizard brain believes that you're among the most capable of the capable and are only being held back by "socialism" that is stealing from you and letting others succeed where you're failing.
