The next big scandal will be the quick rushed to market vaccine that the world will fight for, that ends up causing more problems.

I'm waiting for a well researched, proven and time tested (thru proper clinical trials) vaccine that will more than likely be out by fall 2021.

yea seriously.....

I understand the urge but people need to understand that medical professionals have been saying since march it will take a year at best maybe even longer (2 years maybe)for a vaccine.

but we have certain "world leaders" that think it can be made, tested and delivered at the snap of a finger. Because the virus is making him "look bad".

There's already a vaccine being tested in Canada. It's already being given to volunteers. But it could still take a year.
The Spanish flu in 1918 had a second wave that was more deadly than the first one. Covid19 will be more deadly this fall. So keep your belts fastened. We haven't seen nothing yet.

I can't remember where I read it but somewhere it was reported that any vaccine developed may not be so effective for older people. Not sure what they consider old but these are the very people most in need of a vaccine.

I'm just guessing. But maybe they need to develop 2 different types of vaccines. One type for the elderly, and the other for the people that are not so elderly and healthier.

It does, but it is only effective against a strain that does not mutate. Flus tend to mutate and render the vaccine irrelevant

As for reopening: if ppl remain as stupid as they were last weekend ignoring social distancing rules, spa will not be open officially the earliest in September.
However, if you dare to adventure, there are some at westend "open". Richmondhill, Markham, Scarborough, 95%+ are closed. QQ got an official force close order by the City Licencing on April 29. They were playing with fire. So take your chances if you wish. There is always a solution, just have to find it.
