Definitely agreed. The U.S. has a minimum age for the presidency, set at 35. Then why not set a maximum age? I think the maximum should be 65. Some people are still mentally capable well past 65. But some people decline rapidly after 65. Every individual is different. I don't think a country should gamble on whether or not a person past 65 is mentally sound. Drunk Trump will turn 80 very soon. Would anyone in his/her right mind trust an 80 year old spoiled brat with no formal education, showing severe signs of Dementia at the control of the most powerful country? Another rule that should be in place is that no person who has ever been convicted of any crime should ever become a candidate for any political office. Also, what about the 60% rule, when the president has been impeached? Drunk Trump has been impeached twice already. You need 60% vote of the house to kick him out of office. I don't remember what the exact number was, but both times the house voted more than 50% to kick him out. But because both impeachment votes didn't quite make it to 60%, he was allowed to stay in power, and was able to run again for a second term. He would have also lost all secret service protection for the rest of his life, which he doesn't deserve to have. Many corporations have aptitude testing for job candidates. They make it part of the interview process. Why can't a country test the main presidential candidates before an election is held? It doesn't have to be rocket science. It could be general questions on history, geography, a little bit of simple math, science, and some demographic knowledge of the country. These simple tests can help the people decide whether or not a person is fit to be president. The way things are at the present, it seems the United States allows anyone to run for president. Heck, they could allow some homeless guy on drugs run for president. Also, some states have the power to recall a governor. I remember there was a recall for the governor of California many years ago. That was the time when Arnold Swarstenager, or however you spell it, decided to run. They should have a recall system for the presidency as well.
