bar@beach is in the grounds of a bungalow set up I think called Bang Tao Beach Bungalows ( or Resort) and near the huge Cate Java...
Its a great bar/rest with a very good deal Friday afternoons.
All beers 50 baht, and at 7pm last happy hour drinks a called, wherre in you can order as many more at that price and they are delivered in a silver ice bucket to your side...
Nice food as well...

It's actually pickled beetroot, and it is amazing on a good burger. It was like eating a burger and then suddenly discovering it is sooooo much better with ketchup & cheese. Afterwards it is "of course pickled beetroot on a burger".

I like Meow's Place (Probably one of the 'Originals') living room place and it's always good for a laugh and to find another 'cheeky' one placed in front of you and to find yourself saying "Oh! Alright then!" a lot.

Handy for the best Noodle stall in Kamalalala IMHO which sets up just to the left.....hang on....yes! To the left of Meow Bar as you leave it. Bloody good and value noodles, always go 'Special' though!

Popped in tonight as heard they were starting to serve food. Full brekky at 180 baht, so a bit top end for the village but told a big portion. Evening menu is not very extensive at present two choices of home made burger, we picked this and interestingly it had beetroot on it?? is that an aussie thing?? few pie options, with mash and sausage roll, and fish and chips, made from Dury, nope got the fishes name wrong and now can't think what it shoyuld be, hopefully it will come back to me, got it, Dory?? is that right, sounds better anyways.

Not bad prices, fish & chips 240, burger 180 or 10 baht more for an egg added, can't remember pies and mash think with sausage roll it was just under 200 baht, oh yeah and a chesse and ham roll? couldn't follow why that was added to the menu, is this an aussie thing or perhaps just one of the owners favourites?.

Also they now stock Kingfisher beer, okay not worth perhaps a mention as yet but also Kingfisher strong at 7.2% proof!!! feck thats a mind blower !!!

Good number in tonight at 8.30pm when I got there, reckons they are still doing well, we shall see no doubt. Dunc1 won the draw on friday, at 5,000 baht not a bad little win, only trouble you have to be there to collect it, he wasn't and therefore didn't!!!5555555

but how are we "do gooders" by actually showing our gf's/wives a better way?
they come from poor unedcuated families areas, mostly, and only know that way. once shown that their is a better way to live and that "face" doesn't mean much some realize that their is better out there

take myself for instance. total street kid from Boston. only knew how to work a manual job/drink and fight basically before i went to university. met my gf there and she lit a fire under me. showed me that i could do a lot better. to be honest, if i didn't meet her i would probably still be living in boston hanging around the sameo ld places having done nothing in my life
sometimes people need a little guidance

sure thai girls will sit and do nothing if that is what their bf/husband chooses them to do but what do you have in the end? basically the same uneducated thai girl you 1st met. i would much rather show them what they can achieve and aspire to and let them make the choice if that is what they want

Turn left out of BG towards surin, halfweay up before the lights on the right, was a blue pipe shop before. You will like the bar Simon, lot of motor sports on Tv and UFC wrestling, you will also know most of the girls in there, ex bg, blackcats and Mountainview girls. The no Bf will not be a bother to you, as firstly you are now an almost married man and secondly you have most of their numbers in your phone already!!! They can always pull a sickee or meet after closing!!

sounds like the owner has been around Kamala bars and hand picked (read poached) his choice of girls!!!! I'm always game to check out a new bar in the village and its good that KBG may get some competiton from this as i felt that Rudy had been running a pretty slack ship before i left.
