Visited this old standby recently; called ahead re availability. There were 2 caucasian and rest (at least 2 or 3) were latina, for those of you interested. Lineup was much more impressive than ever before which is in itself a huge deal for H&H.

I'm a little drunk and bored so I might as well throw out another epiphany I had. If you think about it, a lot of us, myself included, fall into this trap of thinking of these massage parlor workers as poor, innocent girls who just ventured down the wrong road. But I was watching a few Korean movies this past weekend on www.crunchyroll.com (English subtitles) and now my view has changed a little bit.

I now get the feeling that a good portion of these massage parlor girls were the bitches in these movies who beat up other girls and sometimes guys at school, drank and smoked all the time, used guys for money or whatever, never cared about an education, lied and cheated their way through life, and had little to no morals.

Of course, it was due to these lack of morals that allowed them to enter this lifestyle (seriously, what sane woman chooses this line of work, no matter how desperate for money - check out all the Korean girls working at dry cleaners, delis, and restaurants). And perhaps as they get older and older, and lose a little bit more pride everyday due to fucking random guys, they are much more humbled. Some become nicer as a result... Some don't.

I used to wonder if being a worker hardened some of these girls. Now I wonder if they didn't become a worker because they were already hardened. By the way, you'd be surprised at how some of the most beautiful girls with the sweetest personalities in the massage parlor turn out to be most spoiled, selfish, and rotten people outside of the work place.

Consider that even Koreans themselves believe their girls are the biggest two-faced people in the world... I wonder how much more so it is for girls who choose this line of work. Of course, there are always exceptions.

On the flip side, I wonder how we could analyze the psyche of ourselves, the johns. We can try to rationalize it all we want, but the truth is, we ourselves are not normal. Normal guys don't go to massage parlors or pick up hookers on a regular basis. They rather blow $160 on getting drunk with a 1 in 10 chance of getting laid. We are the minority.

Just a thought.

Visited an old friend in Tenleytown about a week ago. They're still around, and while not Asian, not a bad alternative. From the sounds of it when I was there, a fair amount of girls were working, and they hadn't had much business.

Hh has always been the typical hit and miss spot. 1) because they have so few providers and 2)because their providers don't stay very long, so there's always new girls in the rotation. The ONLY upside of that place is the variety of the races of woman you get. Most seem to be European, although I have ran into a hispanic and there was reviews of an Ethiopian working there, at some point. I haven't been in a minute, so I don't know how reliable my intel would be, but you can scan back though my post history and see a few names of providers I've seen. HJ are what most of the girls seem to want to get by doing; least amount of actual work for the money. Rarely you'll get one that will accomodate you on all levels, but you'll probably have a better chance at hitting the Power-ball this weekend than getting true AMP-type service at this spot. I'm quite sure that a few months back when all the AMP's were gone, this place was making all the bank, but lucky now things in DC seem to be back on the right track. This is a true YMMV establishment. In fact, they should change their name to that!

You bring up another point; how do you guys handle rude/un-enthusiastic providers? I read a lot of reviews, especially in the BP threads, about girls rushing you; not wanting to do this; having an attitude. I've been blessed in that department. Of all the years I've been in the hobby, I can probably count on one hand that I've had a somewhat rude/un-enthusiatic provider. Usually when I catch wind of it, I'll say something like: "Look, if you're having a bad day, or this is how you do things then maybe I should see someone else 'cause I'm not here for that. I can get 'that' (attitude) at home for free. ". And 9 times out of 10, the girl will realize what I'm saying and will at least act as though she's providing a service for a paying customer. See alot of girls are so used to guys accommodating to their needs outside of work, all their lives, they take that same mentality into the business and forget that it is just that; a business. Where they have to accommodate us via having ample customer service skills. Some girls don't feel they have to be polite and whatnot, simple because they feel most of us are just desperate for that 'release' which is why you read about 'bait and switches' and other type issues all the time. If more guys would speak up, and set the girls attitude straight, whether it be a date, or at an AMP, you'd see less of these type of problems 'cause the girls won't make any money unless they get their game in order.

Remember, woman respect a manly man that speaks up, not a wimp.
